XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES E90 M3 (Modified Rear Integrated) 2007-2011

The E90 M3’s S65 V8 sits low and far back for a chassis that was already balanced for hard cornering, but drifting asks a different question of that platform: how predictably does the rear end break away, and how easily can you hold the angle once it does. The Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built to answer that, not to soften the daily commute.

Where a road-biased kit chases comfort, this one chases controllability. Every part of the spec – ride height, damping curve, spring rate – is set up around the moment the rear tyres let go and the car needs to be caught, held and reset for the next entry.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2011 BMW 3 Series E90 M3

Drop the ride height correctly on this kit and the M3’s centre of gravity moves to where drift setups want it: low enough that weight transfer during a big steering input is fast and progressive rather than sudden. The 3-way damping adjustment lets you separate low-speed compression from rebound, which matters when you’re managing the transition from grip to slide through a linked corner rather than a single hit. Because the valving is tuned around sustained angle rather than outright lap time, the rear end telegraphs its limit instead of snapping – you get more warning before the car goes past the point you can catch it. On track surfaces with real bumps and kerbs, the small-passage oil design in the knobs is doing its job even when you hear it; that’s the damper working through a fast stroke, not a fault.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This coilover is built specifically around drift, not adapted from a circuit kit. The core job is stabilising the car’s body through high-speed rotation so the driver can hold a clean, repeatable angle rather than fighting the chassis mid-slide. Ride height drops with a proper bump stroke retained, so the car sits low without running out of travel the moment it loads up under weight transfer. Damping is controlled through 3 adjustment knobs feeding oil through a deliberately small-passage design; under hard bump loading that can produce some noise from the oil moving through the restricted path, which is expected behaviour rather than a defect. The whole unit is built with circuit and track surfaces in mind, so kerbs and mid-corner bumps are accounted for in how the damper is valved rather than treated as an edge case.

Fitment for the BMW 3 Series E90 M3 (2007-2011)

This kit is specced for the E90-chassis M3, coded BM89 in this application, covering the 2007-2011 build years with the modified rear integrated into the fitment. Confirm your car sits within that chassis code and year span before ordering, as E90-generation M3 variants changed enough year to year that fitment isn’t universal across the whole run.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
