XYZ Racing Pro Rally Coilovers — BMW 2 SERIES F87 M2 Competition (Modified Rear Integrated) 2018-2021

Rally stages don’t care that the F87 M2 Competition was built for a circuit apex and a smooth surface – gravel throws, snow ruts and washed-out crests load a chassis in directions a factory setup was never asked to handle. The XYZ Racing Pro Rally coilover exists for exactly that mismatch, built for top-flight rally competition rather than fast-road comfort or trackday lap times.

This is the Modified Rr Integrated version of the kit – XYZ’s professional-spec build for cars whose rear end has already been reworked to accept it, rather than bolted straight onto the untouched factory subframe. On a car as stiff and rear-biased as the M2 Competition, that distinction matters: it’s the difference between a kit that survives one stage and one that survives a season.

What this coilover does for your 2018-2021 Bmw 2 Series F87 M2 Competition (Modified Rr Integrated)

Once fitted, the S55-powered M2 Competition gains the wheel travel and damping range a rally build actually needs – enough compression control to absorb a hard landing on a rutted stage without bottoming the chassis, and enough rebound to keep the tyre in contact with the surface through the next crest instead of skipping across it. Ride height stops being a fixed factory number and becomes a tool: raise it for clearance on a rougher stage, drop it back down when the route firms up. Because the kit is matched to the modified rear end rather than the stock subframe, geometry stays predictable through the full range of travel – no sudden shift in camber or toe as the car moves from compression into full droop. For a rear-driven, turbocharged coupe that already sends plenty of torque through the back axle, that consistency is what keeps the car pointing where the driver aims it on a loose surface.

About the Pro Rally coilover

XYZ builds gravel and snow rally suspension in two distinct forms. The amateur type bolts straight onto the original chassis and subframe, the quicker route for a car that’s still largely stock underneath. The professional type – supplied here – is built for a car whose bodyshell and rear end have already been modified to take it, integrating the mounting points and geometry into that reworked structure rather than working around factory hard points designed for road use. That second approach is what serious rally builds use, because it lets the suspension geometry be set up around the car instead of being compromised by hard points that were never meant to see a rally stage. Expect the damping range, spring rate and travel to be specified for sustained loose-surface abuse rather than one-off track sessions, with construction built to take repeated big hits without the geometry drifting out from underneath the driver.

Fitment for the Bmw 2 Series F87 M2 Competition (Modified Rr Integrated) (2018-2021)

Confirmed for the F87-chassis M2 Competition, model years 2018 to 2021, under XYZ’s BM82-2 fitment code. This is the Modified Rr Integrated variant specifically – it’s built around a reworked rear end rather than the untouched factory subframe, so confirm your car has already had the corresponding rear modification carried out before ordering.

1. Be installed directly with the original chassis. (Amateur type)
2. Be installed after modifying the car body. (Professional type)
