XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — BMW 1 SERIES F20 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik. xDrive & EDC) (Modified Rear Integrated) 2010-2026

The F20 1 Series was one of the last compact rear-wheel-drive hatchbacks BMW built, and that rear-biased weight transfer only shows its worth if the suspension can keep both axles loaded on a surface that keeps moving underneath you. On gravel, snow-packed forest stages or a loose rallycross circuit, a fixed-travel road coilover runs out of stroke exactly when you need it most – wheels unloading over crests, the rear stepping wide on a loose apex.

XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is built for that specific brief. It’s a rally and rallycross-focused damper, not a repurposed track kit, and on the F20’s standard (non-xDrive, non-EDC, non-M-Technik) rear-drive chassis it’s aimed at drivers who want the car to stay composed when the road stops being tarmac.

What this coilover does for your 2010-2026 BMW 1 Series F20 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik, xDrive & EDC) (Modified Rr Integrated)

Extended front and rear travel gives the F20’s suspension a bigger buffer before it tops or bottoms out, so the wheels stay in contact with loose or broken surfaces instead of skipping across them. That matters most under compression – a rally-spec crest or a rutted rallycross corner – where a shorter-stroke damper would already be at the end of its travel. The larger internal volume of suspension oil and nitrogen gas is there for endurance rather than outright stiffness: it keeps shock oil temperature in check over repeated hard stints, which is the difference between consistent damping on stage six and a damper that’s gone soft by stage three. With M-Technik, xDrive and EDC excluded from this fitment, the kit is matched to the standard F20’s rear-integrated subframe mounting rather than adapted around factory adaptive dampers, so the geometry and travel figures apply cleanly to this specific car.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This is a rally and rallycross damper first, built around the idea that stability on loose ground comes from suspension movement, not from locking the car down. XYZ Racing gives it noticeably longer travel front and rear than its circuit-focused Pro Racing siblings, plus a larger reservoir of oil and nitrogen gas so the shock can absorb sustained hard use without the oil overheating and the damping fading with it. Adjustment comes via three knobs feeding oil through deliberately small internal passages – a design that trades a bit of mechanical quietness for fine control, so don’t be surprised if you hear a faint noise from the damper when the car crashes over a big bump; that’s the oil doing its job through those narrow ports, not a fault. It’s a coilover built to be driven hard and repeatedly on rough ground, where consistency over the full length of a stage counts for more than outright spring rate.

Fitment for the Bmw 1 Series F20 (2010-2026)

This kit is engineered for the F20-generation 1 Series (chassis code BM96), covering both 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder variants built between 2010 and 2026. It’s specific to cars without M-Technik trim, without xDrive four-wheel drive, and without factory Electronic Damper Control, and uses the modified rear-integrated mounting for this fitment – check your car matches all three exclusions before ordering.

Spec your F20 Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover to match your car’s exact fitment – configure yours below.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
