XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — BMW 1 SERIES F20 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik. xDrive & EDC) (Modified Rear Integrated) 2010-2026

The F20-generation BMW 1 Series is the last rear-driven hatchback the brand built before the switch to front-wheel-drive architecture, and that short wheelbase means weight transfer arrives quickly the moment you trail-brake into a corner or lift mid-bend. On the standard dampers, that quick transfer shows up as the rear stepping out sooner than the driver expects. The XYZ Racing Circuit Master coilover kit for the 4- and 6-cylinder F20 (excluding M-Technik, xDrive and EDC cars) replaces the factory struts and the rear integrated-link mounting points with a fully adjustable, circuit-focused platform built around that chassis behaviour.

Circuit Master is the range for owners who take the 1 Series onto a track and stay there for the session rather than splitting time between a fast commute and the odd track day. Independent ride-height and damping adjustment lets the car be set up specifically for a circuit and left there, rather than compromised for speed bumps and potholes on the way home.

What this coilover does for your 2010-2026 Bmw 1 Series F20

Fitting the Circuit Master kit to a 4/6-cylinder F20 gives you a rear axle that can be tuned to resist the lift-off oversteer this chassis is known for, because the modified rear integrated-link mounts let you dial in a rear damping curve independent of the front rather than relying on BMW’s factory compromise. Ride height drops to a track-appropriate stance, lowering the centre of gravity and cutting body roll through direction changes. Because compression and rebound are separately adjustable across the kit’s full range, you can firm up the rear to control the F20’s characteristic weight transfer under trail-braking without turning the front end nervous on turn-in. The result on a 116i through to an M140i-spec 6-cylinder car is a chassis that loads predictably corner to corner instead of surprising you at the limit.

About the Circuit Master coilover

Circuit Master sits at the top of XYZ Racing’s range, built from the same platform used across their Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally products and proven through XYZ’s own racing teams competing internationally. The headline figure is 9720 individual adjustment combinations, controlled through three separate knobs so compression, rebound and ride height can each be set without disturbing the others. The damper body uses a small-oil-hole passage design rather than a single large bore; on rough sections or repeated kerb strikes this can produce a faint noise as oil moves through the narrower passage, which is normal and not a fault – these dampers are built for circuit tarmac rather than potholed B-roads, so occasional bump noise is the trade-off for the adjustment range and control on offer.

Fitment for the BMW 1 Series F20 (2010-2026)

This kit is engineered specifically for the F20-chassis 1 Series built between 2010 and 2026, covering the 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engine range. It is not compatible with M-Technik-specification cars, xDrive all-wheel-drive models, or cars fitted with factory Electronic Damper Control (EDC), and it includes the modified rear integrated-link mounting hardware needed to fit a non-EDC F20.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
