XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 1 SERIES F20 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik. xDrive & EDC) (Modified Rear Integrated) 2010-2026

The F20 is one of the last front-engined, rear-wheel-drive hatchbacks BMW built, and on the 4- and 6-cylinder cars without M-Technik trim, xDrive or EDC, that layout comes with a standard damper setup and no adaptive electronics to fight against when you swap it out. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built for exactly that car: a fixed damping curve and a controlled ride height at the rear axle, so the F20 holds an angle through the transition instead of snapping.

This is a drift-specific kit, not a fast-road compromise. Combined with the modified rear-integrated mounting this range uses on the F20, it is aimed squarely at competitive drifting and circuit-track drift work, where consistent rear behaviour under sustained slip matters more than daily ride comfort.

What this coilover does for your 2010-2026 Bmw 1 SERIES F20 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik. xDrive & EDC) (Modified Rr Integrated)

Lower the ride height with the correct bump stroke set and the F20’s body control through a committed slide improves noticeably: less roll to manage mid-transition, and a rear end that stays predictable as you feed in opposite lock. The 3-way adjustment knobs let you tune compression and rebound independently front to rear, which matters on a car this light on its rear axle when the tyres are already working at the limit of grip. Because the platform lacks factory adaptive dampers to override, the coilover’s damping curve is the only one governing the car, so changes you make at the knob are changes you feel at the wheel, not filtered through EDC. The result is a chassis that sets its angle earlier and holds it longer, rather than one that steps out and has to be caught.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This range was developed specifically for drift racing, where the priority is stabilising the car’s body through high-speed direction changes so the driver can hold a clean, consistent angle rather than correcting constantly. Ride height comes down with a bump stroke calculated for that use, and the internal valving is tuned to enhance drift control rather than outright lap time. Each unit uses three adjustment knobs built around a small oil-hole passage design, which gives a fine range of damping adjustment for setting the car up to a specific track or driving style. On rough circuit surfaces that small-passage design can produce a faint noise as oil moves through it under big compression events; that is a normal characteristic of the design, not a fault, and the kit is built with circuit-track abuse in mind rather than smooth road use.

Fitment for the Bmw 1 SERIES F20 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik. xDrive & EDC) (Modified Rr Integrated) (2010-2026)

This kit is built for the BMW 1 Series F20, chassis code BM96, across 2010 to 2026 production, covering the 4- and 6-cylinder cars. It specifically excludes M-Technik trim, xDrive four-wheel-drive variants and cars fitted with EDC electronic damping control, and uses the modified rear-integrated mounting configuration for this range. Confirm your car sits outside those exclusions before ordering.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
