XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Audi TT 8S 4WD φ55 (Modified Rear Integrated) 2015-2026

Quattro gives the TT 8S a genuine traction advantage the moment the surface turns loose, but that advantage only counts if the tyre stays in contact with the ground long enough to use it. On gravel ruts, washboard and compressed snow, a road-biased damper runs out of shaft travel and skips across the surface instead of following it – which is exactly the problem this coilover is built to solve.

The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow set-up for the Audi TT pairs extended front and rear stroke with a damping circuit designed around stage driving rather than smooth tarmac. It is the spec to fit if this TT 8S is heading onto rally stages, snow events or mixed-surface trials rather than a circuit lap record.

What this coilover does for your 2015-2026 Audi TT

Longer travel front and rear means the wheel can move further before it bottoms out or unloads, so the quattro system keeps finding grip through compressions and crests instead of skipping across them. On this Audi TT the extra buffer distance matters most on the rear, where the modified integrated set-up has to control wheel movement through repeated hits without transmitting a jolt back through the chassis. A larger volume of suspension oil and nitrogen gas keeps the damper working through a full stage run, holding its characteristics as the oil warms rather than fading as temperatures climb over a long session. Three external adjustment knobs let you retune the front-to-rear balance between a gravel stage and a snow-covered one without pulling the dampers off the car.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This damper was developed for rally and rally-cross use, where sustained impacts rather than smooth apex loads are the design brief. The extended front and rear travel builds in a bigger buffer distance so the chassis stays composed when the surface drops away underneath it. XYZ Racing increased the internal oil and nitrogen gas volume specifically to stop shock oil temperature climbing too far after extended running, which is the usual failure point for dampers asked to work this hard for this long. The three adjustment knobs use a small-bore oil passage design; driving through large bumps can produce a faint noise as oil moves through that passage, which is a normal characteristic of the metering rather than a fault. Despite the gravel and snow billing, the same construction is proven on circuit tracks, where the bump absorption that suits a rutted stage also copes with kerbs and surface changes.

Fitment for the Audi TT 8S 4WD φ55 (Modified Rr Integrated) (2015-2026)

Built for the Audi TT 8S in 4WD quattro configuration with the φ55 damper body and the modified rear-integrated mounting arrangement, chassis code AU47-1. Covers TT 8S production from 2015 through to 2026. Confirm your car matches the 4WD φ55 modified-rear specification before ordering, as standard and modified rear mountings are not interchangeable.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
