XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Audi TT 8S 4WD φ55 (Modified Rear Integrated) 2015-2026

The TT 8S rides on the same MQB architecture as the Golf and A3, but with a shorter wheelbase and a Haldex-based quattro system biased hard to the front axle until slip is detected at the rear. On tarmac that gives the tidy, front-led turn-in the TT is known for. On loose gravel it means the chassis wants to dart and skate over ruts and washboard the moment the surface breaks traction, and the standard dampers simply run out of usable travel before the terrain does.

XYZ Racing’s Gravel Rally coilover is built for exactly that surface. It replaces the front units and the rear modified-integrated setup on the TT 8S with a φ55 damper body sized for repeated high-speed compression events, not a single track lap.

What this coilover brings to your 2015-2026 Audi TT 8S 4WD φ55 (modified Rr Integrated)

On a car whose quattro drivetrain already adds weight over the rear axle compared with the front-drive TT variants, the extended travel keeps both ends of the car loaded and working through compressions instead of skipping across them. The long spring and long stroke absorb chassis vibration transmitted up through the suspension on washboard and rutted stages, which on the standard TT setup shows up as a nervous, bump-steering front end. Bear extreme cornering G-force on loose surfaces without the rear stepping out unpredictably, and the front axle keeps enough contact patch to use the quattro system’s traction advantage rather than fighting it. The result on the TT 8S is a chassis that stays flat and predictable when the surface changes underneath it mid-corner, rather than one that reacts a half-second after the fact.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

This damper is built specifically for rally and rallycross use, where road surface conditions are the most punishing of any motorsport discipline the range covers – which makes the shock absorber itself the single most stressed component on a gravel stage. XYZ Racing uses an inverted tube design so the assembly copes with the different demands of sandstone, snow and silt without the damper itself becoming the weak point. Long stroke travel paired with a long spring lets the unit soak up chassis vibration and absorb repeated, aggressive hits from high-speed bouncy sections, while still controlling body movement under the extreme G-forces generated when turning on loose surfaces. Every spring rate offered in the range has been set and validated by an actual rally racing team, not derived from road-car tables – so the numbers reflect what a car actually needs when the road disappears from under it.

Fitment for the Audi TT 8S 4WD (modified Rr Integrated) (2015-2026)

Built for the 8S-generation Audi TT quattro, chassis code AU47-1, covering the 2015 to 2026 production run. The kit uses a φ55 damper body and is matched to the TT 8S’s modified rear integrated suspension layout, so front and rear geometry are handled together rather than as a front-only retrofit.

Every spring rate in this Gravel Rally kit is stage-validated rather than road-derived – configure yours below to match it to your TT 8S build.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear
