XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — Audi TT RS 8J 4WD φ55 (Modified Rear Integrated) 2006-2014

The TT RS 8J puts its five-cylinder turbo ahead of the front axle and drives all four corners through a Haldex-based quattro system, a combination that loads the nose hard under trail-braking and asks a lot of the front dampers the moment you turn in mid-corner. Audi built the 8J on a hybrid structure – aluminium at the front, steel at the rear – so the two ends of the car behave differently under load, and a generic spring-and-shock swap rarely accounts for that split.

The XYZ Racing Racing Spec coilover for the Audi TT RS is built around that reality: for serious track and time-attack use, where the front end needs to be settled enough to trust turn-in and the rear needs to stay flat enough to put quattro’s traction to full use out of the corner.

What this coilover does for your 2006-2014 Audi TT RS

Fitted to the TT RS, the Racing Spec coilover firms up that front end without turning the ride into a plank on the road to the circuit, so the nose stops diving under threshold braking and the car turns in on the first press of the wheel rather than the second. At the rear, the recalibrated damping keeps the quattro system’s power delivery consistent through corner exit instead of letting the axle squat and unsettle the diff’s torque split. Ride height drops enough to lower the centre of gravity across both axles, which matters on a car this short and stiff-bodied, where weight transfer happens quickly. The kit is set up to be adjusted as your car and circuit choice change, rather than locked to one setup out of the box.

About the Racing Spec coilover

XYZ Racing’s Racing Spec line carries settings developed from direct involvement in circuit racing, including WTCC competition, so the base valving reflects what a car needs to survive a full race distance rather than what feels comfortable in a car park. For TT RS owners running aggressive upgrades – bigger turbos, aero, wider rubber – XYZ Racing can build a genuinely custom shock absorber for that specific car: send over the spec of what’s already changed and which circuit it runs, and the damper gets valved around that build rather than a generic map. That custom-order route exists because a heavily modified TT RS behaves nothing like a standard one, and off-the-shelf valving stops making sense somewhere past the first few upgrades.

Fitment for the Audi TT RS 8J (2006-2014)

This kit fits the Audi TT RS 8J, chassis code AU41-3, across the full 2006 to 2014 production run, in quattro four-wheel-drive form. The rear end uses a modified, integrated shock arrangement built around the TT’s factory rear suspension geometry, so this is not a generic universal-shock kit.
