XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Audi TT RS 8J 4WD φ55 (Modified Rear Integrated) 2006-2014

The TT RS 8J’s Haldex-based 4WD system was built to put power down on tarmac, not to soak up the compression hits of a rutted stage or a snow-banked hairpin. Long-travel damping changes that equation. The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover gives the front and rear axles enough stroke to keep the wheels tracking the surface instead of topping out over crests and landing hard on the way down.

This is a rally and rally-cross application first, not a smooth-tarmac trackday part. For the TT RS 8J, that means a suspension built around absorbing repeated big hits without the shock giving up partway through a stage.

What this coilover does for your 2006-2014 Audi TT RS

Extended front and rear travel gives the 8J’s chassis a bigger buffer before the suspension runs out of stroke, which matters when a compression on loose surface arrives faster than the rebound can recover. The increased suspension oil and nitrogen gas volume inside each damper spreads heat over a larger working mass, so oil temperature stays lower through a full stage rather than spiking and fading the damping halfway through. On a 4WD car already carrying Haldex hardware weight, that consistency under repeated hard hits is what keeps the front end predictable when you need it most. The 3-way adjustment lets you retune the front-to-rear balance as conditions shift from packed snow to loose gravel without swapping parts.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This damper is built specifically for rally and rally-cross use rather than circuit tarmac. Front and rear travel is stretched beyond a standard coilover’s range, giving the car a larger cushion before the suspension bottoms out over the kind of crests and holes a gravel stage throws up. The bigger internal reservoir for suspension oil and nitrogen gas is the key structural difference: more fluid volume means more thermal mass, so the shock’s oil temperature stays under control even after sustained hard use rather than cooking and losing damping consistency. Each unit carries 3 adjustment knobs, routed through a small oil-hole design. Under big compressions that oil has to pass through that restricted passage, which can produce a minor operating noise – expected behaviour on this type, not a fault, and not something that shows up as a concern on smooth circuit surfaces.

Fitment for the Audi TT RS 8J 4WD Φ55 (Modified Rr Integrated) (2006-2014)

Built for the Audi TT RS 8J 4WD, chassis code AU41-3, covering the 2006 to 2014 production run. This is the φ55 modified rear-integrated configuration, so confirm your car matches that rear-mounting specification before ordering.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
