XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Mazda 2 (DE) 2008-2014

The DE-generation Mazda 2 is one of the lightest, most tossable B-segment cars of its era, and that featherweight chassis is exactly what makes it a credible loose-surface weapon. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover for the Mazda 2 (DE) is built around that reality: long-travel dampers with the suspension stroke a rally or rallycross car actually needs when the road runs out and the stage begins.

Where a road or circuit coilover would run out of bump travel over a crested gravel jump or a frozen rut, this kit keeps the wheel planted and the car composed. It is the spec to choose when the 2008-2014 Mazda 2 is heading onto gravel, snow, or a rallycross loop rather than smooth tarmac.

What this coilover kit does for your 2008-2014 Mazda 2 (DE)

On a car this light, wheel control over uneven ground is everything, and the extended front and rear travel gives the DE Mazda 2 a far bigger usable buffer before the suspension runs out of stroke. That translates to a settled, predictable platform over gravel corrugations and snow ruts, where a short-travel setup would skip and deflect. The larger oil and nitrogen gas volume keeps damping consistent through long stage runs, so the car still feels the same on the final corner as it did on the first. Three independent adjustment knobs let you tune the kit to surface and conditions, from deep gravel to packed snow. For a sub-tonne supermini, that combination turns the Mazda 2 into a genuinely controllable loose-surface tool.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This is a damper engineered first and foremost for rally and rallycross use rather than the road. The defining feature is its longer stroke front and rear, which increases the buffer distance and keeps the car stable when it is being thrown over rough, undulating terrain. To cope with the sustained abuse of stage driving, XYZ Racing has increased the volume of both suspension oil and nitrogen gas inside the unit. That extra capacity resists the heat build-up that would otherwise cook the shock oil and fade the damping after prolonged hard use. The kit runs three adjustment knobs, with a small-orifice oil passage design; over large impacts the oil forced through that fine passage can produce a faint noise, which is a normal characteristic of this construction rather than a fault. Everything about the unit is aimed at staying composed when the surface is anything but smooth.

Fitment for the Mazda 2 (DE) (2008-2014)

This kit is built specifically for the DE-chassis Mazda 2 across the 2008 to 2014 model years. Confirm your chassis code reads DE and that your car falls within that year span before configuring. Only the fitment details listed here apply to this product.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
