XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Honda CRV III 2007-2012

The Honda CRV III leaves the factory tall and softly sprung – a comfort tune that floats over broken tarmac but leans hard on its outside corner the moment the surface turns to gravel or snow. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover for the Honda CRV III (2007-2012) is built for exactly that brief: loose-surface stages where usable suspension travel and damper stamina matter far more than keeping a tall crossover body pinned flat.

This sits at the long-travel end of the XYZ range. Where a circuit kit shortens stroke to control roll, the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow goes the other way – more travel front and rear, a larger buffer before the damper runs out of stroke, and a fluid capacity sized to last a full rough-surface run without the shock backing off.

What this coilover kit does for your 2007-2012 Honda CRV III

The extra front and rear travel keeps all four wheels loaded over undulating gravel and snow-rutted tracks, where the standard CRV III quickly runs out of compliance and starts skating wide. The bigger buffer distance gives you margin before a hard compression bottoms the damper, so ruts, crests and dips on a stage do not jolt straight through to the chassis. Increased suspension-oil and nitrogen-gas volume holds damping consistent as heat builds over a long run, so the rear of the car behaves the same on the last mile as the first. Three independent adjustment knobs let you set this tall, Real Time 4WD body up for the grip – softer for deep snow, firmer as the surface hardens.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This damper was developed primarily for rally and rallycross use, and the engineering reflects that. The longer travel at both ends creates a bigger buffer zone that keeps the car settled when the surface gets rough. The headline feature is fluid capacity: XYZ has extended the volume of both shock oil and nitrogen gas, which raises the stability of the damper and stops the oil overheating and fading after sustained hard use. Adjustment runs through three separate knobs, with a small oil-hole design in the valving. One honest note – over large bumps the oil is forced through that narrow passage, and a faint noise can result. That is normal behaviour for this construction, not a fault.

Fitment for the Honda CRV III (2007-2012)

This kit is built specifically for the third-generation Honda CRV III, covering the 2007 to 2012 model years. It is a direct-fit coilover set for that chassis. Confirm your exact build year against the range above before configuring.

Set your damping for the surface you run and build yours below.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
