XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — BMW X4 F26 4WD (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2014-2018

The F26-generation X4 carries close to 1.8 tonnes on a raised crossover-coupe body, and that height works against you the moment the surface turns loose. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover kit for the Bmw X4 F26 4WD is built for exactly that brief: gravel, snow, and broken surfaces where usable wheel travel and damper endurance count for more than a slammed ride height.

This is the cancellation-kit version, so the adaptive EDC dampers fitted to many xDrive cars can come off without the dash logging a suspension fault. The longer front and rear travel gives the xDrive chassis room to keep all four tyres loaded when the road drops away beneath it, which is where a four-wheel-drive platform like the X4 earns its traction.

What this coilover kit does for your 2014-2018 Bmw X4 F26

After fitting, the first thing you feel is composure over surfaces that would unsettle the standard setup. The extended travel soaks up ruts and crests instead of crashing into the bump stops, and the bigger buffer distance keeps the body settled rather than pitching mid-corner. The increased volume of damper oil and nitrogen gas means the shocks hold their character over a long stage instead of fading as temperatures climb. Three separate adjustment knobs let you set bump, rebound, and ride height to suit the conditions, so a loose snow surface and a hard-packed gravel road can each have their own tune.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This is XYZ Racing’s rally and rallycross damper, and the engineering reflects that. Front and rear travel is lengthened to build in a larger buffer zone, keeping the car stable when it lands and loads hard. The unit holds a greater quantity of suspension oil and nitrogen gas than a road-biased coilover, which raises shock stability and stops the oil overheating and exhausting itself during sustained use. The three adjustment knobs run a small oil-passage design; over big hits the oil is forced through that narrow passage and can produce a faint noise, which is normal behaviour for this construction and not a fault.

Fitment for the Bmw X4 F26 4WD (2014-2018)

This kit is matched to the F26 X4 4WD, chassis code BM105-C, across the 2014 to 2018 model years. It is the electronic-damping cancellation specification, intended for xDrive cars originally fitted with EDC adaptive dampers. Confirm your chassis code and model year against the listing before ordering.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
