XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — BMW 2 SERIES G87 M2 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2023-2026

Launching the G87 M2 cleanly is a traction problem before it is a power one. With the S58 twin-turbo straight-six sending north of 450bhp through the rear axle, the limiting factor off the line is how much load you can plant on the driven tyres in the first few metres. The XYZ Racing Drag Racing coilover for the BMW 2 Series G87 M2 exists to manage exactly that transfer.

This is a 0-400 metre tool, not a fast-road set-up. The kit is built to shift weight rearward on launch and keep the chassis settled as speed builds, and because the G87 ships with electronic adaptive dampers, it includes the cancellation kit needed to retire the factory system without leaving a warning light on the dash.

What these coilovers do for your 2023-2026 BMW 2 Series G87 M2

Set the corner heights and preload for drag work and the car squats harder on the rear tyres the instant you load the throttle, forcing the contact patch to compress and bite rather than spin. That cuts the wheelspin and bog that costs you the first sixty feet, and it carries through the run: the same setup keeps the G87 tracking straight as trap speed climbs, where a softer road damper would let the nose float. Ride-height adjustment lets you set a launch-friendly rake, and full removal of the adaptive dampers means none of the OE system’s reactive stiffening fighting your settings between passes.

About the Drag Racing coilover

The Drag Racing series is built for one discipline: the standing 0-400 metre sprint. XYZ Racing sets these coilovers up so the suspension deliberately manages weight transfer toward the driven axle under hard acceleration – in this rear-drive M2, that means loading the rear tyres. By forcing greater compression into the drive tyre, the kit reduces the moment of wheel idle, the spin and slip, that bleeds away launch traction. As the run develops it is tuned to hold the car stable at high speed rather than chasing cornering grip it will never use on a strip. The same philosophy spans XYZ Racing’s front-, rear- and four-wheel-drive applications, with the bias matched to which wheels actually put the power down. For the G87 that is a purely rear-biased setup.

Fitment for the BMW 2 Series G87 M2 (2023-2026)

This kit is specified for the G87 M2, chassis code BM128-C, across the 2023 to 2026 model years. It is the variant supplied with the cancellation kit for the car’s electronic damping, so it suits M2s fitted with the factory electronic adaptive dampers from new.

If your G87 M2 lives for the strip, this is the suspension that turns its torque into traction. Choose your spec and build yours below.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.
