Caliper render for this kit:

The W221 S 63 AMG carries the better part of two tonnes through every corner, and most of that mass settles onto the rear axle the moment you lift off a long motorway straight. This XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit is built to keep that rear end composed when the standard discs have gone soft, giving the heaviest AMG saloon of its generation a back axle that bites cleanly instead of fading into the long-travel softness of its air-sprung chassis.
This is rear-specific hardware for the S 63, designed to balance a front end that already runs serious AMG calipers. Fit it alongside a front kit or use it to refresh a tired rear, and the 2005-2013 car regains the progressive, confident pedal a 500-plus-horsepower limousine needs.
What this brake kit does for your 2005-2013 Mercedes Benz S Class W221 S 63 AMG
On a car this heavy, rear braking is really about stability. Fresh, correctly sized rear discs stop the back axle from overwhelming the ABS under hard stops, so the S 63 stays straight and settled rather than squirming as the weight transfers forward. The hollow-vane disc design sheds heat and rotational mass, which counts on a saloon that asks its brakes to haul down repeated high-speed runs. Three pad compounds let you set the car up to match how you drive it: Street for quiet daily use, Sport for harder road work with more bite and heat range, and Racing when you want maximum bite from a warm rear axle. The result is a firmer, more reassuring pedal you can lean on without the vague middle stroke that creeps into a high-mileage W221.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit pairs a fixed caliper with a vented, two-piece floating disc whose hollow-vane structure runs cooler than the original-equipment rear setup. The hollow vanes cut rotational and unsprung weight while the venting keeps temperatures down during repeated stops, which is exactly what a two-tonne AMG saloon demands of its rear axle. Each kit, a pair of rear calipers and discs, can be specified with one of three friction compounds: Street as the quiet, low-dust default, Sport for more bite and a wider heat range, and Racing for harder, hotter work. The caliper body is hollow as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade for serious track use, rated to 1000C with no dust cover and a two-year warranty. Discs are drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized or titanium centre bells selectable, and calipers come finished in no-cost Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black, premium polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold or Polished Silver, candy Teal, Blue, Red or Orange, or a Custom Pantone for 150 pounds. It is a direct rear-axle upgrade, sized for the W221 platform rather than a universal kit forced to fit, and built to work with the car’s existing front braking and stability hardware.
Fitment for the Mercedes Benz S CLASS W221 S 63 AMG (2005-2013)
This kit is cut specifically for the W221-generation Mercedes Benz S Class in S 63 AMG trim, covering model years 2005 to 2013. It fits the rear axle only and is built around that chassis code, so you are matching hardware to the exact AMG variant rather than a generic S-Class fitment. Confirm your build year against the range above before you order.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
