Caliper render for this kit:

The XE30-generation IS 300h carries its hybrid battery low and aft, planting extra mass over the rear axle that the factory rear brakes were never sized to manage hard. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit for the Lexus IS 300h (XE30) tackles that directly, replacing the standard rear setup with a larger, lighter friction package built for repeated heavy use.
On the road the 300h leans on regenerative braking, but work it on a circuit or a fast B-road descent and the hybrid system hands back to the friction brakes, exactly where the standard rear discs start to fade. This kit takes that handover in its stride, with a two-piece floating disc and a vaned hollow core trimming rotating and unsprung weight at the back of the car.
What this brake kit does for your 2013-2026 Lexus IS 300h (XE30)
The first thing you notice is a firmer, more consistent rear pedal once the hybrid regen blends out and the friction brakes take over. Because the disc uses a vaned hollow core, you shed rotating and unsprung mass at the rear axle, which sharpens turn-in and lets the rear suspension settle faster over broken surfaces, while braided lines firm the pedal by removing OE hose swell. Three pad compounds mean you can match bite and heat tolerance to how you actually use the car: Street for quiet, low-dust daily commuting, Sport for firmer fast-road bite with a wider heat range, and Racing for a full track day. The larger rear discs give you more thermal capacity, so braking confidence holds up through repeated heavy stops rather than going soft after a handful of hard applications. Caliper finish is yours to pick, with painted colours included and premium options available, so the upgrade reads as deliberate behind the wheels.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
The Hollow Rear Brake Kit takes its name from the disc design: a two-piece floating rotor with a vaned hollow core that cuts weight without losing the thermal mass needed to absorb heat under braking. Disc faces are drilled or slotted at the same price. It is a rear-axle kit, supplied as a matched pair of calipers and discs with pads so the parts are balanced to work together rather than cobbled from mismatched components. Pad choice runs across three compounds: Street for road use and low dust, Sport for sharper initial bite and a wider heat range, and Racing for sustained high-temperature work. The caliper is a hollow-body forged unit as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade rated to 1000C and warranted two years for hard track use. It ships in the no-cost painted finishes Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black, with a Custom Color in any Pantone and premium polished-forged and candy options. It suits owners who want a genuine step up in rear braking performance and the freedom to tune pad behaviour to their driving, from settled motorway miles to a hard afternoon at a circuit.
Fitment for the Lexus IS 300h (XE30) (2013-2026)
This kit is matched to the XE30-generation Lexus IS 300h built from 2013 to 2026, covering the full third-generation run including the facelift cars, and supplied as a matched pair. It fits the rear axle only. Confirm your build year against the 2013-2026 span before ordering, set your pad compound, disc style and caliper colour from the options when you order, and pair it with a matching front kit if you want a balanced upgrade at both ends.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
