Caliper render for this kit:

Managing two tonnes of grand-touring coupe, one with a twin-turbocharged V12 delivering 1,000 Nm from just above idle, demands brakes that treat repeated high-speed deceleration as an engineering brief rather than an afterthought. The W216 CL 65 AMG is not a track machine in the conventional sense, but its relentless torque delivery and the speeds this car sustains on a clear autobahn or an open A-road make brake performance a serious consideration. The standard anchors on the 65 AMG are substantial, yet the car’s 2,100 kg kerb weight and front-biased load distribution under braking leave real headroom for improvement.
This XYZ Racing front big brake kit addresses that headroom directly. It is a matched pair of left and right calipers and two-piece floating discs. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, let the system be matched to how this car is actually used, and the hollow-vane disc construction manages thermal buildup across the sustained high-speed driving the W216 was built for.
What this brake kit does for your 2006-2013 Mercedes Benz CL 65 AMG W216
Greater disc swept area translates into more consistent pedal feel when the front axle is being asked to manage the W216’s mass from genuine pace. Brake fade under repeat stops, the silent enemy of any performance GT used hard, becomes less of a factor when the disc construction actively supports heat dissipation. The hollow-vane disc draws heat from the swept face faster than a solid rotor, reduced rotating and unsprung mass quickens response, and the two-piece floating construction controls expansion. The three-compound pad selection lets owners configure the front brakes for their operating environment: Street is the quiet, low-dust compound suited to UK cold-weather temperature windows, Sport offers more progressive bite and heat range for fast-road driving, and Racing handles sustained high temperatures on track. Braided lines keep the pedal firm.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
This XYZ Racing front big brake kit takes its name from the disc construction, where hollow-vane internal geometry improves airflow through the rotor to manage operating temperatures under sustained load, paired with a hollow-bodied caliper as standard. For a car carrying the thermal demands of the CL 65 AMG’s mass and V12 performance, that approach has a practical basis: braking consistency across repeated events rather than degrading behaviour as temperatures climb. The front-axle focus reflects where the W216’s braking load concentrates, with the nose carrying the engine mass and physics shifting further forward under hard deceleration still. Pad compounds span road-legal Street through Sport to a full Racing specification, making this a kit that can be reconfigured as use cases change. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, and an optional Hollow Racing caliper upgrade for serious track work drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty.
Caliper finish is selectable when you order. Five painted colours are included at no extra cost: Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black. A Custom Color in any Pantone is £150, with premium polished-forged finishes in Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, plus candy finishes in Teal, Blue, Red and Orange. Two-tone centre bells in five anodized colours, or titanium, are selectable at checkout to keep the installation purposeful behind open-spoked alloys that show the caliper.
Fitment for the Mercedes Benz CL 65 AMG W216 (2006-2013)
This kit is built for the W216 CL 65 AMG, covering the full 2006-2013 production run of the V12 biturbo variant. The front-axle application specifies it for the 65 AMG only, not the CL 500, CL 600 or CL 63 AMG, whose braking architecture differs. Buyers should confirm their specific build specification before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
