XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Toyota VIOS XP40 2002-2007

The XP40 Vios left the factory tuned for comfort and kerb-hopping, not lap times: soft springs, generous travel, and a twist-beam rear axle that lets the body roll and the front tyres scrub wide the moment you lean on them. The XYZ Racing Circuit Master coilovers for the Toyota VIOS XP40 2002-2007 attack exactly that trait, trading the factory wallow for height-adjustable, fully damped control built for sustained circuit running.

This is the hard end of the XYZ range. Where the road-biased kits chase ride quality, the Circuit Master is set up for the kind of grassroots one-make and clubman circuit work the light, cheap XP40 has long been a favourite for – keeping the nose flat through long, loaded corners instead of leaning onto its outer shoulder.

What this coilover does for your 2002-2007 Toyota VIOS XP40

Get the XP40 off its soft factory settings and the difference is immediate: a lower centre of gravity, far less body roll, and a front end that bites and holds its line rather than washing into understeer. Independent damping adjustment lets you firm up the lazy standard rebound so the roughly one-tonne shell stops pitching under braking and squatting on corner exit. Wind in ride height to set a sensible rake and you sharpen turn-in without killing the mechanical grip the narrow-track Vios depends on. On a torsion-beam car like this, getting the front damping right is most of the handling battle – and that is precisely where this kit earns its place.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master sits at the competition end of the XYZ Racing line-up, alongside their Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally builds, and it has been run and developed by XYZ race teams on international circuits rather than signed off purely on a bench. The headline is adjustment range: three separate knobs combine to give 9720 distinct settings, so ride height and damping can be matched to a specific track, tyre and driver. The damper internals use a small oil-passage design, which means that over sharp bumps you may hear a faint noise as oil moves through the restricted passage. That is normal, and a consequence of the circuit-focused valving rather than a fault – the kit is engineered for smooth racetrack surfaces where big road-style impacts are not part of the job.

Fitment for the Toyota VIOS XP40 (2002-2007)

This kit is built specifically for the first-generation XP40 Toyota VIOS, covering the 2002 to 2007 model years. It is a direct-fit replacement for the standard front struts and rear units on that chassis. Confirm your car is the XP40 generation before ordering.
