XYZ Racing Top Sport Coilovers — Toyota VIOS XP40 2002-2007

The XP40 Vios left the factory tuned for comfort – soft springs, long travel and damping set to soak up potholes rather than control body movement. On a quick B-road or a track day that shows up as nose dive under braking, lazy turn-in and a front end that washes wide the moment you load it up. The XYZ Racing Top Sport coilover for the Toyota VIOS XP40 is built to take that compliance out without turning the car into a tooth-rattler. It pairs firmer spring rates with revised damping and enough adjustment range to stay civil on the commute, which is precisely what a kit aimed at occasional track days plus daily street use has to deliver.

What this coilover does for your 2002-2007 Toyota VIOS XP40

Fit the Top Sport kit under your XP40 and the first thing you notice is a flatter, more honest front end. Running roughly 30 to 50 percent more damping force and up to 2 kg/mm more spring rate than a street setup, it cuts the dive and squat that blunt the standard Vios, so the nose stops pitching every time you brake or pick up the throttle. The light NBC-platform chassis responds quickly to that extra control: steering loads up sooner, the front tyres hold a more consistent contact patch through a corner, and mid-corner bumps no longer send the car skating wide. Ride-height adjustment lets you set a sensible stance and drop the centre of gravity, while the firmer rates keep the rear settled instead of skipping over surface changes. On the road it stays composed; on track it gives you a platform you can genuinely lean on.

About the Top Sport coilover

XYZ Racing builds the Top Sport range around what it has learned in its own competition programme, then dials the result back to something a road-and-track owner can live with daily. The recipe is straightforward: take a street-biased coilover and add stiffness – around 30 to 50 percent more damping, or up to 2 kg/mm of additional spring rate over a comfort setting. That extra firmness is what lets the damper absorb a sharp hit, such as a kerb edge or a broken patch of tarmac, while still controlling the body afterwards rather than letting it wallow. By keeping the shock from passing straight into the chassis, the system helps the tyre stay planted and traction stay high over uneven ground. The payoff is stability: a car that feels predictable when you commit to it, with handling that holds together under aggressive driving. It is engineered for track-day use and hard road work, not soft cruising.

Fitment for the Toyota VIOS XP40 (2002-2007)

This kit is cut specifically for the first-generation Toyota VIOS, chassis code XP40, built from 2002 to 2007. It is a direct application for that chassis, so confirm your car’s build year falls inside the 2002 to 2007 window before configuring. No other Vios generation shares this exact fitment.
