XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Subaru IMPREZA GE/GH/GR/GB (TYPE 1) 2WD/4WD 2007-2014

The third-generation Impreza carries its boxer four ahead of the front-axle line, and that forward mass is the first thing you feel when you lean on it. The nose leads, the body takes its set late, and on the soft factory damping the GE/GH/GR/GB never quite stops moving between quick direction changes. The XYZ Racing Circuit Master coilover exists to take that slack out of the platform and give the chassis a defined, repeatable attitude when you load it up.

This is the circuit-focused end of the XYZ range, sitting alongside the Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally builds and aimed squarely at sustained lap-time work. On a 2WD shell it sharpens turn-in and lets you carry the nose; on the symmetrical AWD STI and WRX versions it keeps all four corners working together when you get back on the throttle early.

What these coilovers do for your 2007-2014 Subaru Impreza GE/GH/GR/GB

Drop the ride height and the Impreza’s centre of gravity comes down with it, which trims the body roll this generation was always criticised for. The three adjustment knobs split high and low-speed damping behaviour, so kerb strikes and apex loads are handled separately rather than through one compromised setting. With 9720 distinct adjustment combinations on tap, you can run a firmer rear to rotate a heavy-nosed 4WD car, or soften the front to keep the tyre planted over a bumpy circuit. The result is a chassis that holds its line under braking and stays predictable through a long, loaded corner instead of washing wide.

About the Circuit Master coilover

Circuit Master is XYZ’s competition-grade damper, developed and validated by XYZ racing teams running internationally across multiple disciplines. The headline figure is the 9720-way adjustment matrix, controlled through three separate knobs that let you tune compression and rebound independently rather than as a single bundled click. Those knobs use a small oil-passage design, which is worth understanding: over a sharp hit the oil is forced through a tight orifice and can produce a faint mechanical noise. That is normal and expected from a damper built this way. The valving is set up for circuit surfaces, where the priority is control and consistency under repeated heat and load rather than absorbing rough road imperfections. It is a track tool first, and it behaves like one.
