XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Proton GEN-2 2004-2012

The Proton Gen-2’s front-wheel-drive PR01 platform carries a natural understeer tendency under hard braking and mid-corner load – a consequence of the front axle handling both steering inputs and drive torque simultaneously. On circuit, that push becomes the limiting factor: the Circuit Master coilover is configured for exactly this platform and exactly this use case, addressing the Gen-2’s chassis behaviour at the source rather than papering over it with a generic lowering kit.

The PR01’s suspension geometry responds poorly to blunt stiffening. Spring and damping rates that simply reduce body roll without accounting for how the front axle loads during trail-braking tend to make understeer worse, not better. The Circuit Master’s calibration accounts for the Gen-2’s weight distribution and suspension geometry across the 2004-2012 production span.

What this coilover does for your 2004-2012 Proton GEN-2

With 9720 individual damping configurations available across three adjustment knobs, the Gen-2’s front-axle balance can be adjusted precisely for each circuit layout and tyre compound combination. The small oil-passage valve design keeps damper response controlled through large impacts, maintaining wheel contact through rougher track sections and kerb apexes. Height adjustment lets you reduce the PR01’s ride height for a lower centre of gravity, improving lateral load transfer without the stiffness penalty of a fixed-rate lowering spring.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master sits in XYZ Racing’s competition-focused tier alongside the Racing Spec, Drift Spec, and Tarmac Rally variants – each calibrated for a distinct motorsport discipline. This variant is built for permanent circuit use, and XYZ Racing’s teams have validated the damper specification across competition circuits internationally to establish valve tuning across the full operating range. Three adjustment knobs give access to 9720 distinct setting combinations, enough to account for different compound choices, circuit configurations, and driver weight preferences between sessions. The small-orifice oil passage design is deliberate: it controls fluid flow under large-amplitude damper movement, which can produce occasional noise over significant kerb strikes or hard compression events. This is a hydraulic characteristic of the valve geometry, not a sign of component failure, and has no practical effect on circuit performance where track surfaces are consistent and kerbs are incidental contact.

Fitment for the Proton GEN-2 (2004-2012)

This kit fits the Proton GEN-2 on the PR01 chassis across the full production run from 2004 to 2012. Confirm your build year before ordering; spring specification is set to PR01 geometry throughout the generation.

This is the best design, on the competitive version such as Racing Spec, Drift Spec, Tarmac Rally. This is the ultimate boutique for racing in many international athletics tracks, and test for a long time. This is for purchase handling high performance and the essential partner in different racing. Circuit Master Damper is tested through XYZ racing teams all over the world. 9720 ways of different adjustments can meet all customers’ needs and win the 1st place in every race.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
