XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Nissan STAGEA WGNC34 4WD (Rear FORK) 1996-2001

The WGNC34 Stagea’s defining characteristic is disguise: R34 Skyline suspension geometry and ATTESA E-TS four-wheel-drive architecture packed into an estate body that carries considerably more mass than the coupe it was engineered alongside. For drift competition, that weight becomes the engineering problem – standard dampers cannot maintain body control through the sustained high-speed rotations where angles are held and judges are scoring.

XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec coilover kit addresses this directly. Reduced ride height combined with a tuned bump stroke works to stabilise the chassis through the rotational phase of a drift entry, keeping the geometry consistent from entry to clip to exit – the moments that separate a controlled slide from a snap correction.

What this coilover does for your 1996-2001 Nissan STAGEA WGNC34 4WD (Rr FORK)

The WGNC34’s weight distribution at rest is not the challenge – it is how that mass shifts under hard lateral loading at speed. Drift Spec dampers are calibrated to resist the body roll that would otherwise upset the ATTESA system’s traction split during a slide, helping the car hold an angle rather than hunting for grip unpredictably. Lowering the centre of gravity through proper height reduction directly improves how quickly the Stagea responds to throttle inputs mid-drift. The Rr Fork rear configuration has specific geometry sensitivities at reduced ride height, and the bump stroke in this kit is set to preserve rear tyre contact through compression – keeping the slide controllable where it matters most.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing developed the Drift Spec range for competitive drifting specifically, not as a general motorsport coilover pressed into sideways service. The engineering priority throughout is body stabilisation during high-speed turning – the sustained, wide-angle cornering where the chassis must remain composed across the full duration of a scored run. Ride height reduction is calibrated alongside bump stroke so that the geometry changes inherent to lowering do not compromise the rear suspension travel needed to maintain angle through transition. The result is drift control that is repeatable and consistent rather than reactive: the car goes where the driver places it, at the angle they set, without the chassis making independent decisions.

Fitment for the Nissan STAGEA WGNC34 4WD (Rr FORK) (1996-2001)

This kit is built for the Nissan Stagea WGNC34 in 4WD trim with Rr Fork rear suspension – chassis code NI59 – covering model years 1996 to 2001. The Rr Fork rear designation is a specific mounting configuration, and this kit will not cross-fit to WGNC34 variants with a different rear suspension type. Confirm your Stagea’s build date and rear suspension configuration before specifying.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
