XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Nissan STAGEA WGNC34 4WD (Rear FORK) 1996-2001

The WGNC34 Stagea is not an obvious rally platform, but its ATTESA E-TS AWD architecture, RB25DET torque delivery, and estate-body mass make it a credible stage competitor once the suspension is matched to the task. On loose surfaces, the factory rear fork geometry and long wheelbase ask a lot of a standard damper: travel, side-load resistance, and the ability to absorb repeated high-speed impacts without losing composure.

Built specifically for Rally Racing and Rally Cross applications, this XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover kit for the Stagea WGNC34 4WD uses inverted-tube damper construction, extended spring length, and long stroke travel – a combination that keeps all four corners working through the undulations and aggressive surface changes of a gravel stage.

What this coilover does for your 1996-2001 Nissan STAGEA WGNC34 4WD

The inverted tube layout provides greater side-load resistance than a conventional damper, directly relevant to the stone strikes and compressions that define gravel-stage work. Extended stroke travel prevents the damper reaching full compression mid-stage, which would translate the Stagea’s considerable mass into uncontrolled chassis movement rather than forward traction. ATTESA distributes torque rear-biased under normal conditions; keeping all four corners planted through loose-surface crests and ruts is what converts that torque into drive rather than wheelspin. The long spring geometry absorbs chassis vibration progressively, reducing the shock transmitted to the body and preserving driver feedback at speed.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

XYZ Racing developed this damper with Rally Racing and Rally Cross as the primary brief – disciplines that place the highest demands on damper durability and travel of any motorsport category. The inverted tube construction places the larger-diameter cylinder at the bottom, shielding the internals from upward contamination and improving structural rigidity under sustained lateral loading. Extended spring and stroke dimensions are calibrated to handle the forces generated across multiple surface types: sandstone, snow, and silt each demand different damper behaviour, and the Gravel Rally specification was validated across all three by XYZ Racing’s own competition team. All spring rate settings are derived from those real-surface tests rather than theoretical modelling alone – which matters when conditions change mid-stage.

Fitment for the Nissan STAGEA WGNC34 4WD (Rr FORK) (1996-2001)

This kit is specified to fit the Nissan Stagea WGNC34 4WD with rear fork suspension geometry, carrying chassis code NI59, across the full 1996-2001 production run. The rear fork designation matters: this application differs from the 2WD Stagea configuration, and using the fork-specific rear damper ensures correct pick-up points and proper installation geometry throughout.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
