XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S/ GT C (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2015-2023

The AMG GT S/GT C’s factory adaptive damping was tuned for tarmac, not stage work, which is exactly why this Cancellation Kit variant exists. It strips out the electronic damping control and replaces it with a manually-adjustable Gravel Rally coilover, so the car stops fighting the driver over broken surfaces and starts responding to spring and damper settings you actually control.

That matters on a front-engined, rear-driven platform carrying AMG’s V8 well ahead of the front axle. Gravel-stage inputs – compression over ruts, sudden weight transfer under braking into a loose corner – need a damper built for that abuse, not one optimised for smooth British B-roads.

What this coilover does for your 2015-2023 Mercedes Benz AMG GT S/ GT C

Cancelling the factory electronic damping removes the conflict between adaptive software and manual tuning, so every adjustment you make at the damper is the one the car actually runs with. The inverted tube design on this Gravel Rally unit keeps seals and internals better protected from the sandstone, snow and silt intrusion that gravel stages throw at a damper housing. Long stroke and long spring travel absorb chassis vibration and bouncy high-speed inputs that would otherwise transmit straight into the AMG’s structure, while giving the suspension enough range to bear extreme G-force through fast loose-surface corners without bottoming out. On a car this nose-heavy, that extra stroke also helps keep the front axle loaded and responsive rather than skipping across ruts.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

This is a damper built specifically for rally and rallycross use, where road conditions are the most punishing of any motorsport discipline – which puts the shock absorber at the centre of how the car survives an event, not just how it handles. The inverted tube layout is there to cope with the variety of surfaces a stage can throw at it, from sandstone tracks to snow to fine silt, without the internals degrading mid-run. Long-stroke, long-spring construction is the mechanism for absorbing the repeated chassis vibration and high-speed bounce that gravel generates, and for handling the G-forces that build through committed, loose-surface direction changes. XYZ Racing sets the spring rates on this range using data from its own Rally Racing team, so the baseline setup reflects actual stage testing rather than a generic road-going interpretation. For an AMG GT S/GT C being converted away from its electronic damping, that gravel-specific engineering is the whole point of the swap.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz AMG GT S/ GT C (2015-2023)

Confirmed for the Mercedes Benz AMG GT S/GT C, chassis code ME54-C, across the 2015 to 2023 model years. This is the Cancellation Kit variant, built for cars where the factory electronic damping system is being removed in favour of manual coilover control – check that your car carries the adaptive damping setup this kit is designed to replace before ordering.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
