XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Ferrari 488 GTB (with hydraulic lift, excl.control system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2016-2026

The Ferrari 488 GTB was never built to slide. Its 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8, mid-engined balance and factory Side Slip Control were calibrated to keep the rear axle planted, not to hang it out on opposite lock at a competition entry. The Drift Spec coilover is the answer for owners who have decided the F142M platform deserves a second life as a serious drift weapon, and who need a suspension that will actually let the chassis articulate the way drift judging demands.

This kit is paired with the cancellation harness for the factory electronic damping system, so the magnetorheological dampers come out cleanly and the car stops throwing dashboard errors. The hydraulic nose-lift hardware stays in place but its control loop is bypassed, which matters on a £200k car you still want to get off a trailer without scraping the splitter.

What this coilover does for your 2016-2026 Ferrari 488 GTB

Drop the 488 onto a properly set ride height with the right bump stroke and the whole car changes character. The nose responds to steering input immediately rather than waiting for the magnetic dampers to make a decision, and the rear loads up predictably as you initiate, which is the single most important thing a drift coilover has to deliver. Front-end grip is dramatically more communicative on turn-in, and the rear axle tells you exactly where it is through the seat instead of through a screen.

The Drift Spec construction is built around stabilising body movement during high-speed angle, so commitment-corner entries hold a clean line of attack rather than washing wide before the slide develops. Lower ride height and a tuned bump stroke also clean up weight transfer when you flick the car, which is where most factory-suspension drift attempts fall apart on a 488.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec is designed specifically for drift competition, not adapted from a circuit kit. The geometry of the damper and the chosen spring rates are aimed at stabilising the body during high-speed cornering so the driver can hold a perfect angle through the clipping point, and at enhancing drift behaviour rather than suppressing it. With the ride height lowered and the bump stroke set correctly, the chassis sits in a window where controlling the slide becomes the focus, not fighting the suspension.

This is a damper for drivers who want to commit to angle without the chassis going light at the worst moment. The fitment uses XYZ Racing’s FE03-C application code for the 488 GTB and is supplied with the cancellation kit that removes the factory electronic damping circuit from the control loop, so the kit installs as a fully passive, manually adjustable suspension on a car that left Maranello with active dampers.

Fitment for the Ferrari 488 GTB (2016-2026)

This is the XYZ Racing FE03-C application for the 488 GTB built with the factory hydraulic nose-lift system, and it is supplied as the cancellation-kit variant for cars fitted with electronic damping. It covers 2016 to 2026 model years of the 488 GTB in this exact configuration. Confirm your car carries the hydraulic lift hardware and the magnetic damper system before ordering, as the non-lift and non-electronic variants take different part numbers.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
