XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 6 SERIES F13 2011-2018

The F13 6 Series was never built to be thrown sideways. A 1.9-tonne grand tourer with a long wheelbase, a soft factory damping curve, and an electronically-managed rear end that quietly intervenes the moment the chassis starts to step out. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover is the kit that strips that civility back and turns the F13 into a platform you can actually commit to an entry on.

For drivers running the F13 – 640i, 650i, or the M6 shell – in competitive drifting, the priorities are angle, predictability under load transfer, and a ride height low enough to stop the front splitter cutting into the air during a clutch-kick transition. This kit is engineered around exactly that brief.

What this coilover does for your 2011-2018 Bmw 6 Series F13

Drop the front of an F13 onto stiffer springs and the chassis stops nodding mid-corner, which is the single biggest barrier to consistent angle on a long-wheelbase car. The Drift Spec damping is tuned to keep the outside rear loaded as you transition, so the tyre keeps biting instead of skating into understeer washout. Ride height adjustment gives you the geometry to run more static negative camber up front without hammering the inside shoulder on entry.

You get a stable platform at speed – the F13 sits flat through fifth-gear sweepers instead of leaning onto its outside rear. Bump stroke is set so the chassis lands cleanly after kerb hops and clutch-kicks rather than bottoming and unloading the rear axle at the worst possible moment.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The Drift Spec is XYZ Racing’s purpose-engineered drift platform – this is not a re-valved circuit kit. The damping curve is set for the violent weight transfer of a drift entry, where the chassis has to absorb a snapped-in transition and then hold a steady-state lateral load through the clip. XYZ’s design brief here is body stability at high entry speed so the driver can dictate the angle rather than catch the car.

Combined with a lowered ride height and the correct bump stroke setup, the kit is intended to put drift control into what the manufacturer calls excellent condition – meaning predictable, repeatable, and adjustable by the driver rather than by luck. Construction is built around the loads a competitive drift car generates – sustained heat, kerb strikes, and repeated full-lock steering inputs – rather than the smoother thermal cycles of a circuit car.

Fitment for the Bmw 6 Series F13 (2011-2018)

This kit is built specifically for the F13 chassis coupe, covering the 2011-2018 production run. Confirm your chassis code before ordering – the convertible F12 and Gran Coupe F06 use different mounting hardware. The configurator below carries the spring rate and damping options that suit competitive use on the F13 platform.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
