XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Volkswagen GOLF MK6 4WD φ55 (Modified Rear Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2008-2012

The Golf R Mk6’s Haldex-driven 4Motion system shifts torque rearward the moment you lift or trail-brake, and that’s precisely the moment a drift car needs the chassis to rotate on command rather than fight for grip. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built around that behaviour, giving the rear axle a platform that stays settled as load transfers off the nose.

This is the electronic-damping cancellation variant, built for Golf Mk6 4WD cars that left the factory with adaptive DCC dampers. Fitting a passive coilover to one of these cars without addressing the control side leaves fault codes and a dash full of warnings; this kit resolves that at the strut, so the Volkswagen Golf Mk6 runs a fixed-rate circuit setup with no electronic interference.

What this coilover brings to your 2008-2012 Volkswagen Golf Mk6 4WD

Lower the ride height correctly and the reduction in roll centre movement is immediate – the Golf sits flatter through direction changes instead of loading onto the outside front strut the way the stock Haldex car does. The three-way adjustment lets you separate compression and rebound enough to hold a slide once it’s initiated, rather than have the rear snap back and unsettle the car mid-corner. Because the internals are matched to the extended bump stroke this platform allows, ride height drops without eating into usable travel, so the geometry that makes the Golf’s 4WD system predictable under power stays intact rather than being compromised by a static drop.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built this line specifically around drift use, where body control through fast direction changes matters more than outright comfort. The design leans on a longer bump stroke than the standard road-going coilover, which is what lets you drop ride height aggressively while still holding onto the wheel travel a car needs to load and unload the outside tyre repeatedly without bottoming out. Damping runs through a three-knob adjuster, and the internal oil path uses a deliberately small passage – under sustained kerb strikes or big compressions on a circuit surface, that can produce a faint noise from the damper. That’s a function of the valving, not a fault, and it’s the trade-off XYZ Racing accepts for the level of low-speed control the setup delivers. It’s a circuit-track product first: the bump handling is tuned around track surfaces rather than pockmarked B-roads.

Fitment for the Volkswagen GOLF MK6 4WD φ55 (Modified Rr Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) (2008-2012)

Built for the Volkswagen Golf Mk6 4WD chassis, listed under XYZ Racing’s VO20-A-C fitment code, covering 2008 to 2012 production. The 55mm strut body and the rear-integrated modification are specific to Haldex-equipped Mk6 cars, and the cancellation kit is required where the car left the factory with electronically controlled dampers.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
