The Mk6 Golf’s φ50 strut architecture carries a lot of front-end mass over a relatively short wheelbase, and on a car pushed hard through a chicane that shows up as body roll settling half a beat late. Circuit Master is built to close that gap. For sustained lap sessions rather than the odd fast road blast, this is the XYZ Racing spec pitched at drivers who want the platform to stay flat and predictable run after run, not just on the first lap out of the pits.
Where a fast-road coilover is tuned for a comfortable compromise, Circuit Master is tuned the other way: consistency under repeated heat cycles and load, with the adjustability to correct the balance as track and tyre condition change through a session.
What this coilover does for your 2008-2012 Volkswagen GOLF MK6
Fitted to a 2008-2012 Golf Mk6, the coilover’s 3-knob adjustment system lets you separate compression and rebound circuits instead of chasing one shared dial, which matters when the front axle is already carrying more load than the rear under trail-braking into a corner. With 9720 combinations of damping on offer, you’re not limited to a handful of presets – you can soften low-speed compression to keep the nose settled over kerbs while still holding high-speed compression firm enough to control the weight transfer under braking. The monotube-style internal layout keeps oil temperature more stable than a twin-tube design would over a 20-minute track session, so the damping curve you set on an out-lap is closer to what you still have on lap fifteen. That’s the practical benefit for a Mk6 owner: less of the front end diving and washing wide mid-corner, and a rear axle that follows through rather than stepping out unpredictably on corner exit.
About the Circuit Master coilover
Circuit Master sits at the top of XYZ Racing’s range, developed and proven through use by XYZ-affiliated racing teams competing on circuits internationally. The core idea is granularity: 3 separate adjustment knobs feeding a claimed 9720 distinct damping combinations, so compression and rebound can be tuned independently rather than moved together on a single dial. That adjustment mechanism uses a small-oil-hole design in the damper – XYZ notes this can produce a faint noise when the car crosses larger bumps or kerbs, caused by oil passing through the narrow internal passage, and it’s a normal characteristic of this valving rather than a fault. The unit is built for circuit use specifically, so occasional noise over kerbing or bumps on track is expected and doesn’t indicate a problem with the damper. It’s a kit aimed squarely at drivers doing repeated timed laps, not a daily-comfort-first setup.
Fitment for the Volkswagen GOLF MK6 (2008-2012)
This kit is built for the Volkswagen Golf Mk6 φ50 chassis (chassis code VO17), covering model years 2008 to 2012. Confirm your Golf sits within this build year range and uses the φ50 strut diameter before ordering, as Mk6 variants ran different strut architectures across the range.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
Top mounts included with your kit
Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.
Front
Pillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
Hardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
Rear
OE (factory) mountOERetains the OEM (factory) upper mount — preserves the original ride comfort, noise and vibration behaviour for a stock-like feel.
