XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Volkswagen CADDY 4WD φ50 2016-2026

The Caddy 4WD’s raised, van-based platform carries a taller centre of gravity than any hatchback the Drift Spec range was born for, and that changes what a drift-focused coilover has to do here. Weight transfer under lock happens higher up and slower to catch, so the initial angle-setting phase of a slide needs a chassis that drops and stiffens without turning nervous. XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec kit for the 4WD Caddy is built around that reality rather than pretending the Caddy is a Silvia with cargo doors.

This is a competitive-drifting setup, not a fast-road compromise. The φ50 body diameter gives the shock more surface area to control damping force as you push into sustained yaw, which matters more on a taller 4WD van chassis than on a low coupe where body roll is already contained.

What this coilover does for your 2016-2026 Volkswagen Caddy 4WD Φ50

Drop the ride height correctly and the Caddy’s roll centre comes down with it, cutting the body lean that would otherwise fight your angle input mid-drift. XYZ Racing’s damping tune is built specifically to stabilise the body through high-speed direction changes, so the chassis holds its line while you’re modulating throttle and countersteer rather than wallowing and telegraphing late. Set the bump stroke correctly for a lowered ride height and the kit keeps the wheel loaded through the transition instead of topping or bottoming the suspension mid-slide. On the 4WD Caddy specifically, that stabilisation matters more than usual – with drive going to all four corners, a suspension that lets weight shift unpredictably makes the power harder to use for angle rather than easier. Owners running this setup report the drift control coming into what the vendor calls "excellent condition" once ride height and stroke are dialled together, rather than treated as separate settings.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing designed the Drift Spec line specifically for drift competition rather than adapting a road or circuit product for it. The core job is stabilising the car’s body through high-speed, high-angle turning so the driver can hold a clean, controlled line instead of fighting chassis movement mid-slide. Getting there means correctly matching ride height to bump stroke – XYZ Racing’s own guidance is that once that pairing is set properly, the improvement in how the car holds its drift angle is immediately obvious to the driver. The result is a suspension built to enhance drift performance directly, not as a side effect of a stiffer spring rate. For the Caddy 4WD Φ50 fitment, that same construction and tuning logic is applied to a taller, heavier platform than the coupes and hatchbacks this range usually serves, so the stabilisation work the dampers do carries more load.

Fitment for the Volkswagen Caddy 4WD Φ50 (2016-2026)

This kit is built for the Volkswagen Caddy 4WD, chassis code VO57, covering the 2016 to 2026 production span. The φ50 shock body is specific to this fitment – confirm your Caddy is the 4WD variant before ordering, as the drivetrain layout changes the platform this coilover is engineered around.

Get the ride height and bump stroke set the way this platform needs and the Caddy 4WD starts holding angle like it was built for it – configure yours below.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
