XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Toyota PRIUS XW60 2023-2026

The fifth-generation Prius XW60 finally handed Toyota’s hybrid a chassis worth tuning: the TNGA-C platform tucks the drive battery beneath the rear seats, and the upshot is a low centre of gravity the soft factory dampers never properly exploit. The XYZ Racing Circuit Master coilover exists to cash in on that geometry, taking a roughly 193bhp eco-hatch and giving it the body control to hold a line through sustained circuit lap-time work.

This sits at the firm end of the XYZ Racing range, sharing its design DNA with the brand’s Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally kits. For the XW60 that means real damping authority over the car’s considerable kerb weight, plus a ride height you can drop far enough to matter without wrecking the front geometry.

What this coilover kit does for your 2023-2026 Toyota Prius XW60

The XW60’s biggest dynamic flaw is vertical movement: a tall, battery-laden hatch that floats and wallows once you load it. The Circuit Master’s three-knob adjustment – separate control over preload, bump and rebound – lets you arrest that float and keep the contact patch planted mid-corner. Lower the ride height and the already-low CoG works harder, trimming roll and sharpening turn-in on a front axle that otherwise leans hard on its tyres for grip. Under braking, where regenerative and friction braking pile onto the nose together, firmer front damping checks dive and keeps the steering honest. The result is a Prius that changes direction with intent rather than apology.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master is XYZ Racing’s competition-focused damper, developed and tested by XYZ race teams across international circuits. Its headline is breadth of adjustment: 9720 distinct settings spread across three adjustment knobs, so preload, bump and rebound can each be tuned to a given track and driver. That three-knob layout runs a deliberately small oil-passage orifice, which means over large bumps you may notice a faint noise as oil is forced through the restricted passage – this is normal, and a by-product of the fine low-speed valving control it gives you. It is built first for circuit surfaces, where flat tarmac rewards the firmer tune rather than punishing it. For an XW60 owner chasing times, that adjustability is the gap between a fixed compromise and a setup you refine session by session.
