XYZ Racing Tarmac Rally Coilovers — Seat LEON 5F Φ55 (Rear Multi-Link Suspension) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2012-2026

The Leon 5F’s multi-link rear axle was tuned by Seat for tidy, front-driven road manners, not for clipping apexes on a closed tarmac stage at ninety. XYZ Racing’s Tarmac Rally coilover replaces that setup outright, and because this fitment carries the cancellation kit for electronic damping, it also removes the factory DCC control loop that would otherwise fight a fixed aftermarket damper.

For a Leon 5F built for sealed-stage work, that matters more than headline spring rates. Stages throw camber changes, mid-corner ridges and compressions that a smooth circuit never sees, and this kit is built specifically to survive that rather than a track-day session.

What this coilover does for your 2012-2026 Seat LEON 5F

Fit this kit to a 5F and the multi-link rear end stops being the compliance-tuned item Seat signed off for daily driving and starts working as a rally suspension corner. With the electronic damping control cancelled out, the ride is no longer second-guessed by a factory algorithm reading road sensors built for tarmac commuting, not stage notes – damping response stays exactly where you set it, corner to corner, hit to hit. That consistency is what lets you keep committing on a stage where the surface changes without warning: the rear axle tracks over compressions instead of pattering, and the front end holds a line through off-camber sections that would unsettle the standard setup. It also frees you to run the ride height and corner balance the pace notes actually call for, rather than the height the OE dampers were designed around.

About the Tarmac Rally coilover

XYZ Racing built the Tarmac Rally line for exactly the surface its name describes: broken, patched, cambered asphalt rather than a smooth circuit apex. The valving is set up to soak up sharp edges and big hits without transmitting them straight into the chassis, so the car’s body stays controlled instead of pitching and rolling every time the road surface changes underneath it. That control is what keeps the tyre loaded and gripping through a compression rather than skipping across it, which is where a stage car actually finds or loses time. XYZ arrived at this specific damping and spring combination through its own tarmac rally programme, running the same components under stage conditions before they reached this catalogue, so the settings reflect what held up over real event mileage rather than a bench figure alone.

Fitment for the Seat LEON 5F (2012-2026)

This kit is built for the Seat LEON 5F, chassis code SE23-2-C, across the 2012-2026 production run – specifically the multi-link rear-suspension version originally fitted with electronic damping from the factory, since the cancellation kit swaps that control system out as part of the install. Confirm your car has the multi-link rear axle and factory DCC before ordering, as standard torsion-beam 5F models use a different kit entirely.
