XYZ Racing Pro Rally Coilovers — Seat LEON 5F φ50 (Rear Multi-Link Suspension) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2012-2026

The 5F Leon’s multi-link rear end isn’t fitted to every car in the range – it comes with the higher-output Cupra and FR variants, and it changes how the rear axle locates under load compared with the torsion-beam cars further down the line-up. Any coilover going in here has to work with that control-arm geometry properly, not just swap the spring perch and hope. This Pro Rally kit is built around exactly that axle, and it also carries the cancellation kit needed to bypass the factory electronic damping control unit, so the car stops hunting for a signal that no longer exists once adjustable dampers are in.

Pro Rally is XYZ Racing’s top-tier stage build, aimed at gravel and snow events rather than tarmac lap times. On a platform with rally pedigree in modern motorsport – the Leon has run in R5 and TCR-adjacent competition – that’s a legitimate use case rather than a marketing label.

What this coilover does for your 2012-2026 Seat LEON 5F φ50 (Rr Multi-Link Suspension) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping)

Stripping out the factory electronic damping control removes a layer of software between the driver and the suspension – the car reacts to what the wheel is doing, not what an algorithm decided it should do a few milliseconds ago. On the multi-link rear, a coilover set up for rally use has to control wheel travel across broken, low-grip surfaces rather than absorb small tarmac inputs, so ride height and damping are set with compression events – crests, ruts, jumps in the road surface – front of mind. Expect the rear axle to stay planted through direction changes on loose surfaces where a road-biased setup would be skipping and stepping out. The front end also settles faster after a landing or a hard compression, which matters when the next braking point is a few car-lengths away rather than a few hundred metres.

About the Pro Rally coilover

XYZ Racing builds gravel and snow suspension into two distinct approaches. The first bolts straight onto the standard chassis mounting points – a more accessible route for cars still running largely stock bodywork. The second is a full professional-spec build, designed for cars that have already had structural or body modifications made to accommodate serious stage use, where the suspension geometry and mounting need to match a car that’s moved beyond factory tolerances. Both routes are built from the same Pro Rally philosophy: control travel, protect the chassis from repeated hard hits, and keep the axle doing its job when the surface underneath it won’t stay still. Which route suits a given Leon build comes down to how far the car itself has already been modified.

Fitment for the Seat LEON 5F (2012-2026)

This kit is built specifically for the 5F-generation Leon fitted with the multi-link rear suspension (chassis reference SE23-1-C), covering the 2012 to 2026 production span. Because it includes the cancellation kit for the factory electronic damping system, it’s intended for cars originally specified with adaptive dampers rather than passive rear units – check which rear axle and damping system your specific Leon left the factory with before ordering.
