XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz C CLASS W205 6 CYL 2015-2021

The W205 C-Class’s independent multi-link rear and turbocharged straight-six nose make it a heavier, more planted platform than most drift builds start from, and that changes what a coilover has to do. XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec coilover for the Mercedes Benz C Class W205 6 CYL (2015-2021) is built around that weight, not against it, giving the car a ride height and bump stroke that let the rear step out predictably instead of snapping.

Where a Circuit Master or Super Sport kit is chasing grip, the Drift Spec kit is chasing angle and control through it. It lowers the car, opens up the range of controllable slip at the rear axle, and keeps the chassis stable enough at speed that transitions stay deliberate rather than becoming a fight to catch.

What this coilover does for your 2015-2021 Mercedes Benz C Class

Drop the ride height on a 6-cylinder W205 correctly and the car’s polar moment shifts in your favour: less body roll to manage mid-slide, and a lower centre of gravity that keeps weight transfer to the outside front tyre more progressive as you initiate. The Drift Spec kit’s bump stroke is calibrated for that lowered stance, so the rear multi-link doesn’t run out of usable travel the moment you load it up entering a corner sideways. That matters on a car this size – the W205’s mass wants to keep travelling in a straight line, and suspension that’s still working properly at full lock and full lean is what lets you hold an angle rather than just survive it. The result on your C-Class is a car that breaks traction where you ask it to and stays there, instead of transitioning unpredictably as the standard-height suspension geometry runs out of road.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing designed the Drift Spec range specifically around competitive drifting rather than adapting a road or circuit kit for sideways use. The core of that is body control at high-speed, high-angle turn-in: the valving and spring rate are set up to stabilise the chassis through the transition so the car settles into a clean angle instead of oscillating. Ride height is dropped in conjunction with a bump stroke tuned for that lower stance, which is where most generic coilovers fall short on a drift car – cut the ride height without recalculating stroke and you lose the last part of suspension travel exactly when you’re loading the outside corner hardest. On the Drift Spec kit that relationship is built in from the start, so lowering the car improves rather than compromises how it holds an angle. The net effect, once it’s set up on the car, is suspension behaviour that’s noticeably easier to read and correct mid-slide.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz C Class W205 6 CYL (2015-2021)

This kit is built for the W205-generation Mercedes Benz C Class fitted with the 6-cylinder engine (chassis code ME07-5), covering model years 2015 to 2021. It’s matched to the W205’s multi-link front and rear geometry, so confirm your car falls within this year range and engine configuration before ordering.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
