XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz C CLASS W205 6 CYL 4WD 2015-2021

The W205 C-Class in 4Matic six-cylinder form carries real weight over the front axle – the transfer case and extra driveshaft hardware add mass exactly where you don’t want it under trail braking. Left on the factory air or steel suspension, that weight shows up as nose-dive into corners and a rear end that struggles to stay planted once the front has already loaded up. The Circuit Master coilover is built to correct that balance for drivers taking the W205 onto a circuit rather than just a fast B-road.

For sustained lap-time work, spring rate and damping need to hold their character for twenty minutes at a time, not just the first flying lap. That’s the brief this kit is built around: a chassis platform stiff enough to control the 4Matic’s extra unsprung mass without turning the ride into a pogo stick everywhere else.

What this coilover does for your 2015-2021 Mercedes Benz C Class

Fitted to a 2015-2021 W205 4Matic six-cylinder car, the Circuit Master’s damping range lets you bias the setup toward controlling that heavier nose under braking, then open the rear back up so the AWD system can still put power down out of slow corners without the back axle feeling artificially locked down. The 3-knob adjustment layout means front compression, front rebound and rear damping can be set independently rather than compromising on a single global curve – useful on a chassis where front and rear are dealing with genuinely different masses. Ride height adjustment brings the centre of gravity down, which matters more on a 4Matic car carrying extra driveline weight than it does on a lighter rear-drive variant. The result on track is less pitch under braking into apex kerbs, more consistent contact patch through direction changes, and a chassis that holds its line lap after the initial cold-tyre laps rather than degrading as oil temperatures climb.

About the Circuit Master coilover

XYZ Racing built the Circuit Master as its top-tier circuit damper, developed and run by XYZ’s own racing teams across international events rather than tuned purely on a bench. The headline figure is 9720 individual damping combinations across the range, delivered through three external adjustment knobs covering front compression, front rebound and rear damping independently – enough range to move from a soft trackday setting to a stiff, competition-focused one without swapping hardware. The knobs use a small-orifice oil-metering design to achieve that granularity of adjustment; on rough sections of track this can produce a faint clicking or ticking noise as oil passes through the small passage, which is a normal characteristic of the damper rather than a fault. The monotube construction and circuit-specific valving are aimed squarely at repeated hard use on a closed track, where consistency lap after lap under sustained heat matters more than outright compliance on broken B-roads.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz C Class (2015-2021)

This Circuit Master kit is built for the W205-generation C-Class in six-cylinder 4Matic configuration (chassis code ME07-8), covering model years 2015 to 2021. It’s specced around the AWD driveline layout and the added front-end mass that comes with it, rather than being a generic carry-over from the four-cylinder, rear-drive W205.
