XYZ Racing Pro Rally Coilovers — Mazda 6 (GG1) (NON MPS) 2002-2008

The GG-chassis Mazda 6 was one of the better-steering mid-size saloons of its era, and on a loose surface that front-driven balance is something you can actually use. The XYZ Racing Pro Rally coilover exists for the extreme end of that idea: top-flight gravel and snow rally competition, where ride height, suspension travel and damping have to take repeated stage impacts that no road kit would survive.

This is dedicated competition hardware, not a fast-road lowering set. The non-MPS Mazda 6 carries less weight over the nose than the turbocharged AWD MPS, so the front axle has to find its grip through travel and damper control rather than sheer mechanical load. The Pro Rally kit is built around that reality.

What this coilover does for your 2002-2008 Mazda 6

On a stage, the gains are immediate and physical. Long, controlled travel lets the GG1 soak up gravel ruts and snow berms without bottoming or skating, so the front tyres stay loaded through the rough. Rally-rate damping keeps the body settled over compressions where a road damper would blow through its stroke, giving you a front end that bites on turn-in and holds line under power. Ride height is set for stage clearance rather than kerb appeal, protecting the underside on big landings. The result is a Mazda 6 that puts its FWD traction down where the surface is working against you.

About the Pro Rally coilover

The Pro Rally is professional-grade rally suspension, designed specifically for gravel and snow stage use rather than tarmac. XYZ offers it in two configurations to match how serious the build is. The first is an amateur-level setup that fits directly to the original chassis with no bodywork changes, giving club and privateer crews competition damping without cutting into the car. The second is a professional-level installation intended to go in after the body has been modified, freeing up the travel and geometry that a top-flight stage car demands. Both versions prioritise impact durability and consistent damping over the harsh, high-frequency hits that define loose-surface rallying, which is where ordinary coilovers fail.

Fitment for the Mazda 6 (2002-2008)

This kit is specified for the first-generation Mazda 6 on the GG1 chassis, non-MPS, across the 2002 to 2008 production span. It suits the front-wheel-drive petrol and diesel cars, not the AWD turbo MPS, which runs a different drivetrain and loading. Confirm your chassis code before ordering.
