XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Mazda 2 (DJ) 2014-2026

The DJ-generation Mazda 2 is a featherweight on a short wheelbase, and the Circuit Master is built to exploit exactly that. With kerb weights starting around 1,045 kg and a chassis that already pivots eagerly on turn-in, the limiting factor on a hard-driven DJ has never been grip – it has been body roll and the soft factory damping running out of stroke before the tyre has finished talking.

This is the kit for owners running their DJ on circuit days, autotests, or sprint events who want the chassis to load and settle quickly rather than wallow through a long-radius corner. Skyactiv 1.5 petrol cars and the rarer 1.5 diesels share the same suspension architecture, so the kit lands on the same MacPherson front, torsion-beam rear setup either way.

What this coilover does for your 2014-2026 Mazda 2 (DJ)

Stiffer spring rates and a properly valved monotube damper stop the front end diving into its bump-stops under heavy braking – the single biggest complaint from DJ owners who track these cars. The Circuit Master settles the rear axle too, which matters on a torsion-beam car where any unwanted vertical movement at the back translates directly into mid-corner instability. Ride height is fully adjustable independently of preload, so you can drop the car for a proper rake without losing usable shock travel. Damping is adjusted at a single knob per corner, with enough range to run a livable setting for the drive to the circuit and a harder click for the sessions themselves. The result is a DJ that turns in flatter, holds a chosen line through a long corner, and stops squatting under throttle exit.

About the Circuit Master coilover

Circuit Master sits at the track-focused end of the XYZ Racing road-and-track ladder. Each strut runs a monotube body with a high-pressure gas charge, paired with linear-rate springs chosen to suit the platform rather than dropped in off a generic shelf. The pillowball top mounts on the front struts remove the rubber compliance of the OE units, giving sharper steering response and a more honest sense of front-axle load. Damping is single-adjustable across a wide click range, covering everything from a fast B-road setting to a stiffer circuit map. Construction is rebuildable and revalveable, so the kit is intended to be a long-term piece of hardware rather than a sealed cartridge. The DJ-specific application uses the correct strut length and lower mount geometry for the chassis – this is not a universal kit with adapters.

Fitment for the Mazda 2 (DJ) (2014-2026)

This kit fits the fourth-generation Mazda 2, chassis code DJ, built from 2014 through the current 2026 model year. It covers both the Skyactiv-G petrol and Skyactiv-D diesel variants in their hatchback bodystyle on the same suspension geometry. Confirm your chassis code from the V5C before ordering.
