XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Jaguar XF (X250) 4 CYL (Fr FORK) 2007-2015

The X250 XF’s front end carries the weight of a four-cylinder engine over a strut-type front suspension – not a wishbone chassis designed with loose surfaces in mind – so putting a car this size on a gravel stage means the dampers have to control unsprung mass through repeated compression without the ride height ballooning on turn-in. XYZ Racing’s Gravel Rally coilover is built around that problem rather than around tarmac grip.

For gravel-stage or rallycross work in a saloon this heavy, spring rate and stroke length matter more than outright stiffness. This kit fits the XF (X250) with inverted-tube dampers on a long stroke and a long spring, sized to keep the front fork-type struts tracking the road surface instead of skipping across it.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2015 Jaguar XF (X250)

Fitted to the X250, the inverted-tube layout keeps the heavier damper components lower down the strut, which matters when you’re carrying a two-tonne saloon over rutted stage roads at speed. The long-stroke, long-spring combination absorbs the chassis vibration a four-cylinder front end sends through the subframe under repeated compression, rather than passing every hit straight into the bulkhead. Where the standard XF suspension is tuned for motorway cruising, this setup is built to bear extreme cornering G-force on loose surfaces – sandstone, snow, silt – without the nose diving or the rear stepping out unpredictably. Spring rates come from data gathered by a rally racing team, so the damping response is calibrated for stage conditions rather than a generic road-car guess.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

XYZ Racing’s Gravel Rally range is built specifically for rally and rallycross use, where surface conditions change corner to corner and the damper does more work than almost any other part of the car. The design uses an inverted tube, relocating the heavier components to reduce the effect of unsprung weight and keep the piston better controlled as the surface underneath it changes. Stroke length and spring length are both extended well beyond a road-going coilover, giving the damper the travel it needs to soak up chassis vibration on aggressive, high-speed, bouncy terrain without bottoming out. That extra travel is also what lets the kit bear the extreme G-forces generated when the car is turning hard on a loose surface, where grip is inconsistent and load transfer happens fast. Every spring rate offered in this line has been set using data from a rally racing team’s own testing, rather than derived from a road-car spring chart. On the XF (X250), that means a coilover built to cope with sandstone, snow, or silt stages, not one adapted from a track-day product.

Fitment for the Jaguar XF (X250) (2007-2015)

This kit is built for the X250-generation Jaguar XF fitted with the four-cylinder engine and front fork-type strut suspension, covering the full 2007-2015 production run. Confirm your car matches the 4-cylinder, fork-strut front-end spec before ordering, as the X250 range also shipped with six-cylinder variants that use a different front suspension architecture.

Spring rates and damping for the Gravel Rally kit are set per stage discipline, so pick the configuration that matches your event and build yours below.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.
