XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Honda ACCORD CL7/8/9 2002-2008

The CL7/8/9 Accord was Honda’s last properly serious mid-size saloon – the Euro-R running a high-compression K20A in the nose, the Type-S sitting on stiffer factory bushing, and the entire chassis benefiting from a double-wishbone front end that rewards damper quality more than spring rate. The standard car rolls onto its outside-front under turn-in and washes wide once you load the front axle past about seven-tenths. Circuit Master is the answer when you’ve stopped pretending the OEM dampers can cope with a full Cadwell session.

This is the top-tier XYZ Racing coilover for sustained lap-time work in the CL7/8/9 Accord. It sits above Super Sport and Top Sport in the range because it’s been engineered for circuit use specifically – tested by XYZ racing teams worldwide and developed alongside their Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally programmes.

What this coilover does for your 2002-2008 Honda Accord

Plant the front end. With Circuit Master under a CL7 Euro-R or CL9 saloon, the lazy initial roll the car carries from factory disappears, and you stop relying on the front tyre’s sidewall to do the damper’s job. The 9720 individual damping adjustments mean you can run a softer bump setting for kerb strikes at the chicane while keeping rebound tight enough that the car settles before the next direction change. On a heavier CL9 with the J30 V6, the extra control over compression travel is what stops the front splitter scraping every time you brake into a downhill apex. Track-day pace lifts, but more importantly the car becomes predictable – the front axle commits when you tell it to.

About the Circuit Master coilover

Circuit Master sits at the top of XYZ Racing’s competition tier alongside Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally. The headline is the adjustment range: 9720 distinct settings, controlled via three separate adjustment knobs covering bump, rebound and a third stage that lets you separate low-speed body control from high-speed wheel control. That three-knob design uses a small-orifice oil passage, which is deliberate – it’s what gives the damper its precision over circuit-grade surfaces. Worth knowing: that same small-passage design means the damper can make a faint hydraulic noise when the oil is forced through it over large impacts. On a track surface this is a non-issue. On a kerbed B-road you’ll occasionally hear it work. This is a coilover built for laps, not for potholes.

Fitment for the Honda Accord (2002-2008)

Fits the Honda Accord CL7, CL8 and CL9 chassis codes, covering the European seventh-generation saloon and Tourer from 2002 through 2008. That includes the K20A-powered CL7 Euro-R, the standard CL7/CL9 four-cylinders and the J30-powered CL9 V6.
