Byd SEAL 2023-2026 — Coilovers

The BYD SEAL’s mass is the first problem any suspension change has to answer. With the Blade battery bonded into the floor as a structural member, the BY08 platform sits on a usefully low centre of gravity, yet its dampers are still asked to control well over two tonnes of saloon. The XYZ Racing coilover range for the BYD SEAL 2023-2026 is built to manage that weight rather than fight it.

This is a family of six setups – Super Sport, Top Sport, Racing Spec, Tarmac Rally, Drift Spec and Circuit Master – so one chassis can be specced for fast road, circuit work, or a more single-minded discipline. Each shares ride-height and damping adjustment; what changes between them is spring rate and valving for the job you actually do.

What this coilover range does for your 2023-2026 BYD SEAL

On a standard SEAL the soft factory tune lets the body heave on that battery weight, and quick direction changes arrive a beat late. Lowering the car on adjustable spring seats drops the centre of gravity further and tightens the gap between your input and the chassis response. Damping adjustment lets you firm up rebound so the heavy rear stops settling slowly after a kerb or mid-corner ridge – which matters when instant electric torque is loading the rear axle on single-motor cars. Height control also recovers the arch gap a lowered EV wants, without putting the front splitter into UK speed bumps.

About the coilover range

Each XYZ Racing coilover here is a full height-adjustable unit, not a lowering spring on a factory damper, so corner balance and arch gap are set independently of damper travel. Super Sport and Top Sport sit at the road-and-track end, trading a firmer edge for body control under load. Racing Spec and Circuit Master move to stiffer rates and tighter valving for sustained circuit use, where the SEAL’s mass puts real heat through the dampers. Tarmac Rally and Drift Spec serve their own disciplines – longer travel and compliance for loose surfaces, a rear-biased setup and added lock for drift. Across the family the brief stays the same: hold a heavy electric saloon flat without turning a comfortable cruiser into something punishing on the road.

Fitment for the BYD SEAL (2023-2026)

This kit is mapped to the BY08 SEAL built from 2023 to 2026, covering the saloon across its current production run. Confirm your drivetrain – single-motor RWD or dual-motor AWD – when you configure, since corner weights differ between the two. Only the chassis code and year span shown here are confirmed fitment.
