XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 6 SERIES E63 8 CYL 2004-2010

The E63 6 Series carries a long-wheelbase GT body over a nose-heavy V8, and that mass does not want to let go of the rear axle on command. Getting a car this size to break traction cleanly, hold an angle, and catch predictably takes a suspension setup built around that specific fight, not a generic lowering kit borrowed from a hot hatch.

The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover is built for exactly that job: competitive drifting, where the car needs to transition into a slide instantly and stay controllable once it’s there. On a chassis as heavy as the 6 Series, that means a kit that can drop the car and still manage the bump stroke properly rather than just running out of travel mid-slide.

What this coilover does for your 2004-2010 BMW 6 Series

Lower the E63 on this kit and the car’s centre of gravity drops, which shortens the time it takes to transfer weight onto the outside tyres as you turn in. That quicker transfer is what lets a heavy V8 GT car rotate on command instead of understeering through the initiation phase. Because the bump stroke is calculated for the drop, the chassis stays supported through the full range of suspension travel rather than crashing into the bump stops the moment the body rolls or the rear steps out. The result is a 6 Series that settles into an angle instead of snapping through it, and that stays predictable as you hold the slide through a long, heavy GT body’s natural momentum.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built this coilover specifically for drift competition rather than adapting a fast-road or circuit kit. The core idea is body control at high-speed turn-in: the setup is calculated to stabilise the chassis as the car rotates, so the driver can settle into a clean, repeatable angle instead of fighting body roll mid-slide. Ride height comes down with a bump stroke matched to that drop, so the suspension keeps working through its travel rather than topping or bottoming out under load. On a heavy, long-wheelbase platform like the E63, that combination is what turns a car that naturally resists rotation into one that holds a controlled angle once it breaks loose.

Fitment for the BMW 6 Series (2004-2010)

Built for the BMW 6 Series E63, 8-cylinder (V8) variant, produced 2004 to 2010. Confirm your car sits within this engine and model-year range before ordering, as the V10 M6 and other 6 Series derivatives use different mounting and geometry.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
