XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — BMW 4 SERIES F82 M4 2014-2020

The F82 M4’s S55 twin-turbo straight-six makes its torque so early and so flat that the standard chassis spends most of a hot lap fighting the rear axle rather than steering the front. Add the F82’s relatively light kerb weight for its output, sticky semi-slicks, and a driver who’s stopped lifting mid-corner, and the OE adaptive dampers run out of body control somewhere around the third flying lap at Donington. The Circuit Master is the answer to that specific problem.

This is the top of XYZ Racing’s competition range – a damper built for sustained lap-time work, not road compromise. On an F82 M4 destined for trackday regulars at Bedford, Cadwell or the Nürburgring, it gives you the platform stiffness to plant the rear under power and the front-end discipline to actually use the M4’s nose on turn-in.

What this coilover does for your 2014-2020 Bmw 4 Series F82 M4

The F82’s biggest dynamic flaw on track is rear-axle settle: weight transfers, the diff locks, and the chassis takes a beat to decide what it’s doing. Circuit Master damping kills that hesitation. With the 9720-way adjustment matrix split across three independent knobs, you tune high- and low-speed compression separately from rebound, so you can stiffen the platform against power-on squat without making kerbs unrideable. Trail-braking into Druids becomes a deliberate act rather than a hope, and the M4’s tendency to push wide under throttle in third-gear corners cleans up once you’ve got the rear damping where it needs to be. Brake markers come back to where they were on lap one because the chassis isn’t hunting for its ride height between corners.

About the Circuit Master coilover

Circuit Master sits alongside XYZ Racing’s Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally dampers as a dedicated competition build, developed and validated by XYZ race teams running at international circuit level. The three-knob layout gives you 9720 distinct adjustment combinations – enough resolution to set the car up for a wet morning at Snetterton and a dry afternoon at the same track without compromise. The small-orifice valving inside each adjuster is what makes that resolution meaningful: oil is metered through tight passages so damping force builds progressively rather than spiking. One consequence worth flagging: over sharp road bumps the oil moving through those small passages can produce a faint audible signature. It’s normal, it’s a function of the valving geometry, and it disappears the moment you’re on a circuit surface – which is where this damper is meant to live.

Fitment for the Bmw 4 SERIES F82 M4 (2014-2020)

Engineered specifically for the F82 chassis M4 Coupe across the 2014 to 2020 production run, covering both pre-LCI and LCI cars. Confirm your chassis code reads F82 on the VIN plate before ordering – F32 four-cylinder and six-cylinder 4 Series cars use a different damper specification.
