XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES E93 6 CYL 2006-2011

The E93 convertible carries extra chassis weight over the E92 coupe it shares its platform with, and that mass sits high when the body is already working hard through a committed slide. Pro Racing Drift Spec is built around that problem: it is tuned to hold body angle stable at speed, so the rear steps out predictably instead of snapping.

For a 6-cylinder E93 running competitive drifting or dedicated track days, the aim isn’t outright grip – it’s controllability at the limit. This kit lowers the ride height while keeping enough bump stroke in reserve that the car stays composed when the surface isn’t billiard-table smooth.

What this coilover does for your 2006-2011 Bmw 3 Series E93 6 CYL

Drop the ride height correctly with this kit and the E93’s centre of gravity comes down, which is exactly what you want when you’re deliberately unsettling the rear end for an angle. The 3-way adjustment lets you set compression and rebound independently front to rear, so you can dial the car towards oversteer-on-command without it becoming unpredictable mid-slide. Because the valving is drift-specific rather than a generic fast-road tune, transitions – throttle-on, throttle-off, catching the slide – happen with less delay between input and chassis response. The convertible’s extra body flex compared to the coupe makes damper consistency more important here, not less, and that’s where a coilover built for this exact use case earns its keep over an off-the-shelf road kit.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built this line specifically for drift competition rather than adapting a road or circuit-grip coilover to the job. The internals use a small-oil-hole passage design across the 3 adjustment knobs, which is a deliberate choice: it lets the damper hold its character through repeated big-angle inputs rather than fading as oil temperature climbs. One side effect of that small-passage design is a bit of extra oil noise when the car crosses bigger bumps on track – that’s the valving doing its job, not a fault. The kit is engineered so ride height can be dropped substantially while retaining usable bump stroke, which matters on drift circuits where kerbs and mid-corner bumps are part of the layout rather than something to avoid. It’s built for circuit use, where the combination of low ride height and repeated hard direction changes would quickly expose a coilover that wasn’t designed for the discipline.

Fitment for the Bmw 3 Series E93 (2006-2011)

Fits the Bmw 3 Series E93 chassis (chassis code BM69), 6-cylinder engine variants, across the 2006 to 2011 production run. Confirm your specific engine code and trim against the configurator below before ordering, as E93 running gear varied across the model’s life.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
