XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES E90 6 CYL 2005-2011

The E90 3 Series’ six-cylinder cars carry that inline-six low and well back in the bay, and it’s that weight distribution – more even front-to-rear than the four-cylinder E90s – that made this chassis a default starting point for UK drift builds once the factory suspension had been swapped out. XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built around holding that balance under sustained slip angle, not just softening the ride for a fast road.

For competitive drifting specifically, that means a set-up that stays consistent through repeated transitions – initiation, mid-corner correction, exit – rather than one that’s composed for a single clean pass and goes vague after that.

What this coilover does for your 2005-2011 BMW 3 Series

Fitted to a 2005-2011 E90 with the six-cylinder engine, this kit drops the ride height and stiffens the platform so the body stays flat and predictable as the car rotates into opposite lock. The three external adjustment knobs split compression and rebound control front and rear, letting you sharpen front-end turn-in for a faster initiation while keeping the rear axle settled enough to hold an angle instead of snapping to full lock. Set the ride height correctly within the coilover’s bump stroke and weight transfer through the transition becomes far more repeatable – the difference between a driver who can string together a full qualifying run and one who’s fighting the car on every entry. On an E90 that’s already carrying a well-balanced six up front, that predictability is what lets you push the slip angle further before you lose the back end.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This is a coilover built specifically for drift competition rather than adapted from a circuit or fast-road platform. The design is aimed at stabilising the car’s body through high-speed cornering so the driver can hold a clean, consistent angle rather than fight body roll mid-slide. Getting the ride height set correctly within the available bump stroke is central to how the kit works – it’s what lets the driver control the drift rather than react to it. The three adjustment knobs use a small-oil-hole design on the damper circuit; on rough sections of track that can produce a faint noise as oil passes through the narrower passage, which is expected behaviour on this build rather than a fault. It’s a set-up engineered for circuit and drift-track surfaces, where holding an angle under load matters more than isolating bumps for comfort.

Fitment for the BMW 3 Series E90 6 CYL (2005-2011)

This kit is built for the BMW 3 Series E90, chassis code BM63, across the 2005 to 2011 model years fitted with the six-cylinder engine. Confirm your car matches this six-cylinder E90 spec before ordering, as the four-cylinder variants of the same generation sit on a different fitment.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
