XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — BMW 1 SERIES E82 6 CYL 2007-2013

The E82’s short wheelbase and front-mounted straight six give the car a weight transfer that happens faster than in the 3 Series it’s based on, and that immediacy is exactly what makes the chassis so rewarding on a circuit and so unforgiving of a soft, worn suspension setup. XYZ Racing’s Circuit Master coilover kit for the BMW 1 Series E82 (2007-2013, six-cylinder cars) is built around that trait rather than working against it, giving the platform the damping control and adjustment range needed for sustained lap-time work.

Circuit Master sits at the top of XYZ Racing’s range for exactly this kind of use: repeated sessions, high cornering loads, and a driver who wants to change the car’s balance from one session to the next rather than live with a single compromise setting.

What this coilover kit does for your 2007-2013 BMW 1 Series E82

With 9720 individual damping combinations available through the kit’s three adjustment knobs, you can separate compression and rebound behaviour front and rear rather than accepting one blanket setting split across the axle. That matters on the E82 because the rear end moves independently of the front under trail-braking and mid-corner load – a six-cylinder engine sitting ahead of the front axle already loads the nose hard on turn-in, and being able to firm up compression at the front while leaving the rear a shade softer helps keep the back planted through direction changes instead of correcting for it with steering input. Ride height is adjustable independently of the damping settings, so you can drop the car for a lower centre of gravity without changing how the spring behaves mid-corner. The adjustment range runs from a usable road setting through to a stiff circuit tune, so you can set the E82 up firm for a track morning and back the compression off again for the drive home.

About the Circuit Master coilover

Circuit Master is the range XYZ Racing built specifically for time on a closed circuit rather than for daily comfort, and it’s the specification the brand’s own racing teams run internationally when developing its harder-use kits. The three-knob layout is built around a deliberately narrow internal oil passage, which is what allows such fine separation between compression and rebound across those 9720 combinations – the trade-off is that on rough tarmac or over kerbs you may hear a faint noise as damping oil moves through that passage. On a smooth circuit surface this isn’t something you’ll notice; it’s a characteristic of the fine-adjustment design, not a fault, and it comes from the same tight tolerances that make the wide adjustment range possible. For the E82’s six-cylinder cars this level of adjustment matters because there’s more weight over the front axle than on the four-cylinder 1 Series, and being able to tune the front end separately from the rear is what lets you correct for that rather than accepting a compromise set for the whole range.

Fitment for the Bmw 1 Series E82 (2007-2013)

This kit is listed against chassis code BM57, covering BMW 1 Series E82 six-cylinder cars built between 2007 and 2013. If your car falls within that window and carries a six-cylinder engine, this is the correct base fitment for the platform – check your chassis plate against BM57 if you’re unsure which E82 generation you have.
