XYZ Racing Top Sport Coilovers — Audi TT RS 8S 4WD φ55 2015-2026

The 8S-generation TT RS carries a five-cylinder turbo engine and Haldex-controlled quattro hardware up front, loading the front axle hard under trail-braking and out of tight corners even as the rear clutch pack claws for traction. XYZ Racing’s Top Sport coilover kit for this chassis raises spring rate and damping over the standard MacPherson-strut setup to control that nose-heavy weight transfer without turning the ride brittle on the road.

Built around a 55mm strut body (φ55), this is the spec for TT RS owners who split their year between B-roads and the occasional trackday, not a car parked up all week waiting for Sunday. It sits between XYZ’s road-biased Super Sport line and its dedicated circuit kits: stiffer than stock, adjustable enough to live with daily, and set up around how an AWD turbo car actually puts power down out of a corner.

What this coilover does for your 2015-2026 Audi TT RS

Fitted to the 8S TT RS, the extra 30 to 50 percent damping force over a street-biased setup keeps the nose settled when you trail-brake into a corner under quattro’s torque-vectoring, so the front axle stays loaded and the car turns in instead of pushing wide. The stiffer springs, up to 2kg/mm over standard, cut the body roll that a nose-heavy 4WD turbo car generates mid-corner, and because the damping is tuned to absorb sharp inputs rather than just resist them, broken tarmac and expansion joints don’t unsettle the chassis the way a raw spring-rate hike would on its own. Traction off the line and out of slow corners improves too: reduced squat keeps the rear Haldex clutch loaded evenly instead of spiking weight onto one corner. Ride height is adjustable front and rear, so you can drop the TT RS for a lower centre of gravity or correct corner weights without touching the spring perch.

About the Top Sport coilover

XYZ’s Top Sport line increases damping force by roughly 30 to 50 percent over the brand’s street-oriented settings, or adds up to 2kg/mm to the spring rate, depending on which axle needs it more for a given chassis. That extra control is aimed at absorbing hard hits, potholes, kerb strikes, mid-corner bumps, without letting the impact travel through to the body of the car and unsettle the platform. The goal is to keep the tyre’s contact patch loaded so it keeps generating grip through the bump instead of skipping across it, which is where the stability gains actually come from. XYZ tunes these settings using data pulled from its own Top Sport racing programme, then carries that calibration down into a kit that’s still usable outside a trackday. It suits drivers who want to book a circuit session without swapping suspension the night before, and who drive with enough commitment on the road that a soft, comfort-first setup would leave the TT RS wallowing under load.

Fitment for the Audi TT RS (2015-2026)

This kit is built specifically for the Audi TT RS 8S, 4WD, running the φ55 strut fitment, covering 2015 to 2026 model years. Confirm your car matches the 8S chassis code and Haldex AWD drivetrain before ordering; this is not a shared fitment with the standard TT or TTS.
