XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Audi TT 8S 4WD φ55 (Modified Rear Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2015-2026

The Audi TT 8S’s Haldex-controlled quattro system was calibrated for Tarmac, not the sustained washboard battering of a gravel special stage – which is exactly the gap this XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover closes. This cancellation-kit spec removes the factory electronic damping from the loop entirely and replaces it with a mechanical damper built for rally use, matched to this TT 8S’s modified, Rr-integrated rear end.

Gravel Rally is XYZ Racing’s stage-specific build, based around long stroke and long springs rather than a stiff Tarmac rate, because a road-biased kit gets battered to pieces the first time a stage throws a compression the length of a rut. On a quattro coupe like the TT 8S, that means a chassis that can absorb repeated big hits without the front end packing down mid-stage.

What this coilover does for your 2015-2026 Audi TT 8S 4WD Φ55 (Modified Rr Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping)

With the electronic damping cancelled out, the TT 8S runs on a fixed mechanical damper response instead of an ECU trying to second-guess a rutted, cambered stage surface – one less variable when the Haldex system is already shuffling torque rearward under load. The long-stroke, long-spring set-up soaks up the vibration a gravel surface feeds through the chassis lap after lap of a stage, rather than transmitting every stone strike into the shell. Under the extreme cornering loads a gravel stage generates, the rear end stays settled instead of skating, which matters more on this platform than most because the quattro system is only as effective as the suspension keeping each corner loaded.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

XYZ Racing built the Gravel Rally range specifically for rally and rallycross, where the road surface swings between sandstone, snow and silt inside a single stage – conditions that punish a Tarmac-tuned damper. The inverted-tube construction is a deliberate response to that variability, keeping the damper working consistently as grip and surface texture change underneath the car. Stroke and spring length are both extended well beyond a road or track spec, so the suspension can absorb the chassis vibration and the sustained high-speed compressions a rough stage throws up without bottoming out. Every spring rate in the range has been set using data from an active rally racing programme, not a desk calculation, which is why the rates land where they do rather than following a generic road-car curve.

Fitment for the Audi TT 8S (2015-2026)

This kit is built for the Audi TT 8S, chassis code AU47-1-C, across the full 2015-2026 production run, in the 4WD φ55 configuration with the modified, Rr-integrated rear end and the cancellation kit for the factory electronic damping. Confirm your TT 8S carries this rear-end specification and originally came with electronic adaptive damping before ordering, since the cancellation hardware is matched to that setup.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
