XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Audi TT 8S 4WD φ55 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2015-2026

The Audi TT 8S’s quattro drivetrain runs power through a Haldex-based rear axle, shifting weight rearward under throttle in a way most front-biased hot hatches never do – a trait that matters the moment you start deliberately breaking traction. XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec coilover for the TT 8S is built around that shift, giving the chassis the composure to hold an induced slide rather than snap out of one. Because this fitment left the factory with electronically controlled dampers, the kit includes the cancellation hardware needed to remove them from the circuit and run XYZ’s passive damper in their place.

This is a competition drifting setup, not a fast-road compromise. Drift Spec is built for holding a controlled slide through a bend rather than chasing lap times, and the TT 8S’s MQB-derived platform gives the geometry a stiff, predictable base to work from. Ride height, spring rate and damping are all set up to keep the nose planted while the rear steps out on command.

What this coilover does for your 2015-2026 Audi TT 8S

Lowering the TT 8S onto the Drift Spec kit does two things at once: it drops the centre of gravity for flatter body roll under weight transfer, and it opens up the bump stroke you need when the car is being driven sideways rather than straight. On a quattro platform already sending torque rearward, that extra chassis control counts the instant you go to full lock – the front end tracks the angle you’ve asked for instead of washing wide, and the rear holds its line through the transition instead of snapping back. With the electronic dampers cancelled out, the suspension responds to spring rate and damping alone, so the car behaves the same way each time you load it up rather than having the factory system second-guess your inputs mid-slide.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec range specifically around competition drifting rather than adapting a road or track kit for the job. The core aim is body control: at high speed and full steering lock, a car’s chassis wants to roll and unsettle exactly when you need it planted to hold a clean angle, and the Drift Spec’s spring and damper combination is tuned to keep that movement in check through the turn. Ride height comes down as standard, and the bump stroke is calculated to match that lower stance so the suspension still has somewhere to go when the car loads up hard on entry, rather than running out of travel and kicking the rear unpredictably. XYZ’s own testing points to a car that’s easier to hold once it’s sideways, settling into whatever angle you’ve committed to rather than needing constant correction. For the TT 8S, that geometry is paired with the electronic-damping cancellation kit so the factory system’s adaptive inputs are taken out of the equation entirely – what you set on the coilover is what the car does.

Fitment for the Audi TT 8S (2015-2026)

This kit fits the Audi TT 8S, chassis code AU47-C, across the 2015-2026 production run, and is specific to 4WD quattro cars. Because this variant left the factory with electronically controlled dampers, the fitment includes the cancellation kit required to remove them from the circuit and run XYZ’s Drift Spec dampers directly.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
