XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Audi TT 8J φ55 (Modified Rear Integrated) 2006-2014

The TT 8J was never built to see a gravel stage, which is exactly why a dedicated Gravel/Snow coilover matters if you’re taking one there. Quattro grip means nothing when the standard dampers run out of shaft travel over a compression crest, and on loose surfaces that’s a when, not an if. This kit is built specifically for rally and rallycross use, with longer travel front and rear to give the chassis a bigger buffer before it bottoms out.

That extra stroke changes how the car behaves the moment the surface gets rough. Instead of the abrupt hit you get from a road-biased damper running out of travel, the TT settles into compressions and holds its line through rutted gravel or snow-packed stages.

What this coilover does for your 2006-2014 Audi TT

The headline spec here is oil and nitrogen gas volume, both increased over a standard road or circuit coilover. On a gravel stage or a long rallycross moto, dampers work harder and hotter than they ever will on tarmac, and a bigger reservoir of oil and gas is what stops shock temperatures climbing to the point where the damper starts to fade mid-run. That’s the difference between consistent damping on the last lap of a rallycross final and a shock that’s gone soft by lap three. The 3-way adjustment knobs let you retune compression and rebound between a wet, slippery stage and a dry, rutted one without swapping hardware. Combined with the longer travel, the TT 8J’s quattro platform gets to use its four-wheel-drive traction properly instead of the suspension being the limiting factor on rough ground.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This is a damper built around one job: rally and rallycross use, not smooth-tarmac track days. The extended front and rear travel is the core of the design, giving the car a bigger margin before the suspension tops or bottoms out on the kind of terrain a circuit coilover was never asked to handle. The increased suspension oil and nitrogen gas volume is there to manage heat – on a rally stage or a rallycross event, a damper works continuously through big inputs, and this design is aimed at keeping oil temperature from climbing high enough to affect the shock’s behaviour over a long run. The 3-way adjustment knobs use a small oil hole design for fine control over compression and rebound; on big hits you may hear a faint noise as oil passes through that restriction, which is normal and not a fault. This is a coilover designed for tracks and stages with bumps, not for a smooth billiard-table circuit.

Built to handle what tarmac-focused coilovers can’t – configure yours below to match your stage or event.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
