Caliper render for this kit:

The Passat B7 carries its mass over the front axle, and the factory rear discs are sized to match – adequate for a motorway cruiser, quickly outpaced once you load the estate, hitch a trailer, or start leaning on the car down a B-road. This XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit for the Volkswagen Passat B7 addresses the back axle directly, giving the rear end the thermal capacity and bite it needs to do its share of the work.
The hollow-vane disc design strips weight from the rotor where the B7 least wants it – at the corner, unsprung and rotating. Specced for the 2010-2015 car with its 12-point, 6.8mm rear mounting, it bolts to the chassis as a proper rear big brake kit rather than a generic fit-and-hope upgrade.
What this brake kit does for your 2010-2015 Volkswagen Passat B7
Bigger, lighter rear discs give the back axle somewhere to put heat, so brake balance stays stable when a standard Passat would be pushing all the load onto tiring front pads. You feel it as a firmer, more progressive pedal under repeated stops and a car that settles rather than squirms when you brake into a corner with the boot loaded. The three pad compounds let you match the kit to use: Street is the quiet, low-dust default for everyday running, Sport adds bite and heat range for harder fast-road work, and Racing is there when the car sees track or sustained heavy braking. Reduced rotating mass at each rear wheel also takes a small but real bite out of unsprung weight, which the dampers thank you for over broken surfaces.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
The Hollow Rear Brake Kit pairs an uprated rear caliper with a larger-diameter two-piece floating disc whose hollow-vane construction trims mass without surrendering swept area or heat capacity, and it is supplied as a matched left-and-right pair. The larger rotor face spreads braking energy over more material, slowing the rate at which the rear brakes heat-soak under repeated use. The caliper body is hollow-cast as standard; a Hollow Racing upgrade is available for serious track use, dropping the dust cover, rated to 1000C and carrying a two-year warranty. Pad compound is a build choice rather than a fixed spec – Street, Sport and Racing options cover daily, fast-road and circuit duty. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, with braided lines available to keep the pedal firm under heat. Calipers are finished in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black at no extra cost, with Custom Color in any Pantone, polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold or Polished Silver, and candy finishes in Teal, Blue, Red or Orange, so the kit reads as intentional behind an open rear wheel. The whole assembly is built to restore proper front-to-rear balance to a platform that leaves the factory heavily front-biased.
Fitment for the Volkswagen Passat B7 (2010-2015)
This kit is specified for the Volkswagen Passat B7 built from 2010 to 2015, using the 12-point, 6.8mm rear mounting interface listed for this chassis. Confirm your car falls within that production window before ordering; the rear-axle hardware is matched to this generation and mounting pattern, not shared blindly across the wider Passat range.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
