Caliper render for this kit:

The Mk5 Jetta carries its weight over the nose, and its front-drive layout sends most of the braking effort to the front axle. That leaves the standard rear discs small and quick to heat-soak once you start using the car hard. This XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Big Brake Kit for the Volkswagen Jetta 2WD (2005-2010) tackles that imbalance at the end of the car that usually gets ignored.
Bigger, hollow-vane discs at the back give the rear axle the thermal headroom it lacks from the factory. The payoff is a more settled car under trail-braking and a rear brake balance you can lean on, rather than a back end that fades out of the conversation halfway through a session.
What this brake kit does for your 2005-2010 Volkswagen Jetta 2WD
Fit it and the first thing you notice is a firmer, more progressive pedal as the larger rear discs add bite without overwhelming the front. On a nose-heavy Jetta, that extra rear capacity sharpens stability into a corner – the back of the car stays planted as you brake toward an apex. The Racing pad compound holds its bite through repeated stops on circuit, while the Street compound keeps things quiet and dust-light for daily driving, with Sport sitting between the two for fast-road work that occasionally sees a track day. Hollow-vane discs shed heat faster, so the rear brakes recover between stops instead of glazing. And with a full range of caliper finishes, the kit reads as a deliberate change behind the wheels.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
XYZ Racing builds this as a rear-axle big brake kit, supplied as a matched left-and-right pair, pairing an uprated caliper with a two-piece floating disc whose hollow-vane construction carries more thermal mass than the factory rear rotor while keeping unsprung weight in check. The hollow-vane design gives the disc somewhere to put heat during hard, repeated braking, which is exactly where small OE rear rotors give up first. The caliper body is hollow-cast as standard, with a Hollow Racing upgrade for serious track use that drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. Three pad compounds cover how owners actually use these cars: Street for a quiet, low-dust road setup, Sport for a sharper bite with everyday manners, and Racing for circuit work that needs consistent friction at temperature. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, and braided lines keep the pedal firm under heat. Calipers are finished in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black at no extra cost, with Custom Color in any Pantone, polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold or Polished Silver, plus candy finishes in Teal, Blue, Red or Orange. It is a bolt-on kit aimed at owners who want the rear of the Jetta to pull its weight, whether that is committed fast-road driving or repeated lapping.
Fitment for the Volkswagen Jetta 2WD (2005-2010)
This kit is cut for the 2WD Volkswagen Jetta built between 2005 and 2010 – the Mk5 generation – and fits the rear axle. It is sized for the front-drive cars rather than any other drivetrain. Confirm your exact model year when you order so the caliper and disc sizing match your hubs.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
