Caliper render for this kit:

The Golf 5 Plus carries its mass higher than the standard Mk5 it shares a platform with, and that raised MPV body throws extra load onto the front axle the moment you brake hard. The XYZ Racing Front Brake Kit for the Volkswagen Golf 5 Plus (2WD) targets exactly that, replacing the front setup with a larger, lighter pair of calipers and discs that cope with repeat stops far better than the two-piece OE caliper they bolt in place of.
This is a front-axle upgrade for owners who want shorter, more consistent stopping from a car that was never built to be light. With pad compounds spanning Street, Sport and Racing, you can spec it for a daily Golf 5 Plus or a harder-driven one without changing the hardware.
What this brake kit does for your 2003-2007 Volkswagen GOLF 5 PLUS
The biggest change you feel is consistency. A bigger front disc and a lighter two-piece floating construction shed rotational and unsprung mass, so the front end responds quicker to inputs and the pedal stays firm as heat builds. On a tall, front-heavy car like the Golf 5 Plus, that means braking you can lean on repeatedly rather than one good stop followed by a soft pedal. The Street pad keeps things quiet and clean for road use, the Sport pad adds bite for fast-road work, and the Racing compound holds friction through harder, hotter sessions. A range of caliper colours – the no-cost Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black through to custom Pantone, polished-forged and candy finishes – lets the result match the rest of the build.
About the Front Brake Kit
The kit replaces the front disc and caliper as a matched pair, sized to upgrade over the standard Golf 5 Plus arrangement while keeping the swap straightforward on cars fitted with the two-piece OE caliper. It is built around two-piece floating discs, which let the rotor ring breathe under heat and trim rotating mass where it matters most for both braking and steering response, paired with hollow-bodied calipers as standard. Three pad compounds – Street, Sport and Racing – cover everything from quiet commuting to circuit use, so the same caliper and disc package scales with how the car is driven. Caliper finishes run from the no-cost painted colours to custom Pantone, the polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, and the candy Teal, Blue, Red and Orange options. Discs are drilled or slotted at the same price. The focus throughout is on heat management and pedal feel under load, the two things a heavier raised-body hatch asks most of its front brakes.
Fitment for the Volkswagen GOLF 5 PLUS (2003-2007)
This kit is for the front axle of the 2WD Volkswagen Golf 5 Plus built from 2003 to 2007. It fits only models that left the factory with the two-piece OE caliper, so confirm your car’s original caliper type before ordering. Pad compound and caliper colour are both chosen when you order.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
